I have a feeling this one is not going to amount to much.  1) it was filed as a misdemeanor.  2) Bail was set at $500 which I assume is about as low as it can go.  3) There was no evidence of any physical injuries.  

 

I see references to police checking the video but I don't see it in the police report. But if there was video and the video doesn't show the incident then this REALLY is going nowhere.

 

Interesting that the scheduled arraignment has been cancelled. 

 

I'd be surprised if this one has much legs.

Alfie is an idiot. Met him once at a Jaguars practice (the one Laurent Robinson got a concussion hitting his head on the concrete between the fields) and realized rather quickly he has 0 talent at writing an article. The girl involved in the incident has been identified as one Lucas Joeckel. Apparently she gets beaten so often, her chin has toughened up, and Skuta's nudge only stunned her for a brief second.

Of all the confusion involved in this story.  Arresting officer seeing video of the incident and not seeing any assault.  Girl seemingly unharmed but Skuta has black eye.  NFL.com reporting he was charged but lawyer says he wasn't.  Eyewitnesses report girl attacked Skuta but victim's friend corroborates victim's story.  None of Skuta's lawyers version of story in the police report. But despite all that, the idea that he pushed a girl's head into glass window just because she wouldn't give him her phone number is the most confusing take of them all.  True or not, that is what makes the least sense.

No? There are 2 sides of the coin and to be honest if she gave him that eye first I have 0 sympathy for anything that happened afterward. If women are so tough and want to be considered equal to men than I have no issue with Skuta defending himself if that be the case. You can't have it both ways, where you think women are 100% equal to men and then do a 180 when a man defends himself against a violent woman. When she has no signs of injury, refuses medical care of said violent 251 lbs NFL linebacker.... And said linebacker has a black eye, its not hard to put 2 and 2 together.
