If Italy beat Germany, they would've missed half of their team due to yellow card accumulation. Fortunately, die Deutscher Mannschaft pulled it together during PKs but Özil und Müller need to get their act together as both missed crucial penalties.

Here's hoping Island upsets France as I don't think they have the camaraderie necessary to lift the trophy. Rooting for Germany to take it all, though!

Rooting on Die Mannschaft as well. But man, they slept walked through the game vs Italy. Played too tense..maybe due to losing to them the last 4-5 times. Then the PKs....when Schweinsteiger came up, I thought ..it's over. No way he misses. Boots it over the piss net.

The penalty kick due to Boatangs ( sp) dum [BLEEP] hands in the air defense was another shake your head moment.


But in the end..they managed to advance.

But in the end..they managed to advance.

The mark of a good squad is that they can win ugly - which Germany did. I expect them to clean up their act and sock it to the French like they did in the WC2014.


But the semis/finals garner little to no room for error so if missed chances are aplenty again then I don't have as much confidence in their advancing to the final but same could be said for the other nations as well.

I think its interesting that Portugal are favourites for this game.


Wales are the better team,have played better football and have a bonafide superstar in Bale.This Portugal team is the same as every Portugal,Ronaldo not looking like Ronaldo,nice players,nice skill but no team spirit and no fight in them.

Wasn't really bothered who won that game (I'm English with ties to Ireland. Nothing Welsh about me) but Wales missed Ramsey a lot. Can't see Portugal being either Germany or France though.
