Here's what you can learn about the USA. 300 million people. 40% reportedly own firearms. Fully half that would outright refuse a confiscation. I prefer being responsible for my own safety. Calling the police and waiting for them is not sensible in a life or death situation.


I look at it like having a fire extinguisher. I don't think it makes me a fireman but I like having the extinguisher to handle potential fire issues in a pinch.

Interestingly, when I went to school we spent several years on world history, primarily European. I guess we po' ol' 'Muricans mus no sumpin' aftay-all.
