Dan Aykroyd had a special on Netflix at one point. Apparently he's huge into UFO research and said the "legit" Men In Black showed up one time.


On a side note, a good doc that covers MIB, UFOs, and other paranormal stuff is Eyes of The Mothman. Specifically the section about Indrid Cold.

Always been intrigued by Freemasons but can never find out what they actually do and why they have to be so secretive? Ended up talking to a guy who was in a Freemason group in my town and he was telling me about all the secret hand shakes they do and how they have lots of ancient rituals that you have to learn when you enter into it.


Any Freemasons on here or anybody with info on them?

Before they come and get me. The Ark of the Covenant is buried under the Krystal's located on Beach Boulevard. This has been their secret to having successful mini chicken sandwiches and chili cheese pups for years. Everyone thinks it's buried up there in that Money Pit place near Canada. That's really the secret location of Geronimo's remains that the Bush family stole from the Skull and Bones society at Yale or Harvard.... whatever school it's based from. I don't remember. Their favorite number is 322 which is just a clever way of representing the numbers 666. Since 3x2 = 6 and 6x2 = 12 which can be divided by 2 to make 6 again. Crazy stuff I tell you. They call themselves brothers under the skin. That's just a clever password for Dove's body wash for men. They have to use that body wash to hide their Lizard like scales and skin from the public....

My dad is one, he says it's not a secret organisation, it's an organisation with secrets.

 

I'm totally uninterested in the whole thing.

 

Plus you have to strongly believe in some sort of religion, so I'm out.

 

(I'm not an atheist, I'm just undecided on religion).

Part of why I'm so curious about them is the Masonic Hall.Theres masonic hall in my town with loads of cameras but you very very rarely ever see anyone go in our out.Car park is always packed full of expensive cars.

That's how the one I lived next to was. One minute there are no cars and then- bam! Cars everywhere. You never saw them actually coming or going. It was pretty freaky.

Every organization has many sales pitches to make to prospective members.

 

And, I don't believe that form of favor is any different than any other organization with a strong network.

 

Fraternities, alumni networks, professional organizations, clubs, etc... even simply friendships... many people or groups can and do pull strings for one another (IF the person needing a favor is worth their salt.)

 

But, nobody smart is going to prop someone that's going to embarrass them.  No one puts their reputation on the line by recommending someone that's going to reflect poorly regardless of ties or affiliation.

 

Like someone said before, it's not really secret, it just has secrets.

 

As far as life changing "secrets" or advice, I don't think there really are secrets.  Most good advice is out there already, you just have to have the sense or guidance to know what to look for or who to listen to.

 

IMO, one such example is Dave Ramsey and his financial advice.  Not everyone will accept it as it certainly doesn't fit everyone's lifestyle.  But it has proven to work, and it's not any big secret to what his principles are.  But, even though you can find his plan online and listen to his advice free, he still makes a lot of money coaching and encouraging people who may need guidance in executing his plan.  Which, is where some of these organizations can help.  It's much easier sometimes to write out any plan than to actually execute it or apply it to your specific set of circumstances.

 

So really - you can network without being part of some of these groups.  But it certainly can help to be a part of them sometimes to grow your network, particularly if you aren't good at building one all on your own.

I hear you. The Ramsey bit is spot on. I'm appointed with a firm that specializes in his basic ideas and people need a lot of help implementing relatively basic principles.


I doubt there's anything THAT amazing that would be of benefit. Sure it might help you network and get an interview, but being a Mason isn't going to make me a CEO.

I'd like to know of some local free masons because I need some brick work done on this foreclosure that I just bought.  The mason I got is pretty expensive.

What fascinates me about the freemasons is how much they are involved in the makings of America. I believe the society started with a conversation at some bar in England, but somehow it spread to America. George Washington was a freemason famous for wearing their garb, and much of our origins as a nation may be based on his thoughts. The one dollar bill is full of mason imagery including the triangle with the all seeing eye above it, and it's now common knowledge that the layout of Washington DC was based on masonic ideology and their use of megalithic geometry and measurements. The Presidential seal likewise
includes masonic images.
