I think many more people are forgetting the defensive player who got injured day 1 of camp and then didn't play all year, or something like that. I know he was a gator, but he isn't officially a bust yet... What's his name? Derrick Flowers or something?

Telvin Smith is a very solid LB who sniffs out screens better than most LBs I've seen play. I don't think he'll be our defensive MVP but I do think he's one of the best OLBs in the game right now.

 

My prediction for defensive MVP this year will be Tashaun Gipson and Dante Fowler Jr. Gipson doesn't just look good when the pass rush is hitting like most FSs do... He looks like Ed Reed when it does. And Jacksonville has plenty of pass rushers now.

 

Now we've had plenty of pass rushers in the past but lets just count our chickens before they hatch just this one time, and assume they won't end up being Harvey and Groves-tier.
