I never have, and never will, own a Chrysler product. When shopping for a car I don't even consider them as an option.

I love my Charger and my brother loves his Challenger. No problems, no issues outside of the normal maintenance.

I'm not saying that all of them are bad but my experiences indicate to me that Dodge/Chrysler products tend to be more problematic with transmissions and electrics. My daughter owned one and I've known several people who've owned them and it seems to be a recurring theme. I have no problem with their engines, though. Those seem to hold up well.

Totally agree.  User experiences/history/statistics back this up.  I don't understand how they continue to operate seemingly without being willing to address their tranny issues.

The name, mostly. The Chrysler name still carries a lot of weight amongst those who know nothing about cars.

Your correct Chrysler product's in general are more prone to electrical and transmission problems. Personally I love Chrysler they'll put all four of my kids through college but I'll never own one.
