One thing, thats is a bad call with a 5 wr set. Should of ran a dime or a quarter

Quote:Cyprien was lined up directly over the receiver who stopped short. Hard to imagine that wasn't his assignment. I'm more inclined think Telvin bit when he should have dropped. Hell, I don't know :teehee:yeah I see it better now. Hmmm
Quote:Looks like two high safeties with the lbers playing zone underneath. The point that is the free safety was playing the left side of the field, unless he was supposed to be manned-up with that receiver (which he wasn't) then there is no reason that he should be playing anywhere near the to where the receiver caught the ball. The lbers completely vacated that area of the field, let him fall in behind them. FS drops to the defensive right on the first frame and it looks like the SS is close to the line of scrimmage. When that TE drags, he's not supposed to follow, he should be dropping/reading for the intermediate route. In all honesty, that would have been a pick at best, knockout blow at worse if read right cuz the qb would have been reading the olb and would not have seen the SS. I think this is the problem they've had with cyp all along. Agreed if they were playing cover 2, the olb's job is to drop until someone crosses their face.

Quote:Those are formations, not schemes...where did I say they were schemes? Still dont think you should have 2 lbs when the offense is running a 5 wr set
Quote:One thing, thats is a bad call with a 5 wr set. Should of ran a dime or a quarterI would rather keep the Nickel but change out a couple players. Jack for Poz, Peyton for Cyp, Gipson for Peyton. I'll add in that I'd want to play a quarters/cover 4 type d and deny anything deep. Rely on solid tackling to stop them from getting the first. At least for the 3rd and 10 one. Id consider calling a time out if I saw them come out in basically the same formation the very next play.
Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17 2016 draft players I think will be good
Quote:But in Madden!!!!!!........teams run dime and quarter ib real life as well. Its not just in Madden. When teams spread it out in a 5 receiver set, teams usually dont have 2 lbs on the field

I'll give you dime possibly, but quarter??? Was it close to half-time? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

It was on Telvin and he bit hard on the fake. If he continues to drop back into his zone he has a pretty good shot at an interception.

Quote:I would rather keep the Nickel but change out a couple players. Jack for Poz, Peyton for Cyp, Gipson for Peyton.when the spread them out would love a dime defense with Jack in the middle. Ramsey, House, Colvin, and Prince would be solid
Quote:you will give me dime? It was first quarter! Jdub is that you. You seem lost with every post in every thread I'm JDub, but you want to run quarters because they went 5 wide. I didn't see the game, so I don't know if they lined up a rb on the outside on that play. If they went by package (4wr/1rb) that's one reason they would have stuck with two lbs thinking single back formation. Quarters is more for prevent. Playing dime in the scenario I outlined above would have left you vulnerable against run. I'm JDub tho, lol. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
It was 4 wide the first time - 5 wide the second - and they ran the second play quick so the jags couldn't change personnel.
(The 4th receiver and got cropped out of this screen grab at the bottom of frame) This is the first of the two plays. ![]()

Instead of asking your friends about football start watching it it will help

If they ran the second play before we could substitute, did they sub or same personnel different formation? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:If they ran the second play before we could substitute, did they sub or same personnel different formation?Broadcast went to replay so can't be sure, but it looks like they just put the RB on the LOS and had him just sit down in front of the LBs (no sub) -- and that's what Telvin and Cyp were focused on.

Ok so our dime/quarters person, who actually watched the game, doesn't even realize subbing into dime/quarters wasn't an option. I'm JDub yall...
