WOW

Is or isn't the third game where they actually form a game plan? Yes or no?

Can anyone here honestly offer any facts supporting Bradley as a good NFL HC other than "the players like playing for him?"

I'm willing to listen to any factually based arguments.  I'd prefer to hear things unrelated to Caldwell bringing in talent.  The GM's job is to bring in the talent.  The coach's job is to develop, prepare, and squeeze the most talent possible out of each individual player and the team as a whole.  I'm looking for evidence of him "coaching 'em up" per se.

I'm not some super Gus apologist.

I just get really annoyed with the posters knee jerk-y ness.

No it wasn't a good showing.

No it didn't count.

Let's move along.

Sorry. Nothing was "knee-jerk" about last night. This waa their audition for the regular season, and we still look like the last 3 years. This falls on Gus. We have such a talented roster, yet we still look like Gene Smiths team.

Sounds like kane wants UNICEF to buy out the NFL.

That's really sweet and all, but until a charity takes over the league I say off with their heads!

Agreed, if we had just come off a super bowlplayoff, winning season I would understand it being knee-jerky being a preseason game...when the [BAD WORD REMOVED] we saw yesterday is in essence the same [BAD WORD REMOVED] we saw the past 3 years it's a bit worry some.

I'm saying it's kind of a [BAD WORD REMOVED] move to wish that upon someone

which there's at least 6 posters on here who do NOTHING BUT wish for heads to roll.

It's all good though. Who needs clear headed level thinking on a message board trolololol

A message board is for unneccessary meltdowns, did you not get the memo?

Well, look on the bright side: if the team falters, and Gus gets fired, maybe we can get Tom Coughlin back...

It's pretty much a fact that Gus is a bad coach. Judging by his win total and the fact he won 5 games last year with what might be the easiest schedule in the history of the Jags.

The 2005 season where we went 12-4 only to get murked 28-3 in new England in the first round was easily the softest schedule we have ever had. Last year is no comparison imo.

No way dude.  We are cursed against the Patriots in the playoffs and regular season for that matter.  They have our number.  Are they the only team in our existence that we have NEVER beat?

I can't recall most of that season's schedule. However, they did play Cincinnati in a night game. It was a Jax win,, and a tight, close game.

The Bengals were really good that year. Cincy won the AFCN, and were expected to do well in the playoffs. That was the year Carson Palmer and Chris Henry got hurt on the very first drive against Pitt in the playoff game.

Jax was a very good team that year, just like Cincy was.

Wasn't Gus supposed to be a developmental coach? if so, he should be out the door pretty soon. The sword is sharp... he's just hacking with it instead of making a clean cut each time. We need a swordsman, not a lumberjack.

The 2005 Jags faced six teams that made the playoffs that year with at least 11 wins (and ended up 3-3 against those teams). The 2015 Jags played only 5 teams with a winning record
, and lost them all. Only two of those five had 11 or more wins.

And those winning records include the games against the Jags. One win against Houston would have reduced that to 3 opposing teams with winning records in 2015.

I wouldn't expect Gus to develop offensive talent since his specialty is defense. But look at all of the defensive back talent Gus has developed. That alone should merit a six-year contract extension.
