Redskins/Buccaneers game moved to August 31

Quote:I watch the Redzone on game day in live action.  Games that interest me I watch later, usually while I'm posting here on the MB.  I do FF in a "fun league" with my nephew, brother-in-law and a few others.  It's fun because we are all fans of different teams both in the AFC and the NFC.

FF is very entertaining.   That much more with relatives and friends.    The only reason I gave it up is the conflict of interest factor when it comes to real life rooting interests.   Because I don't have a similar conflict of rooting interest factor with baseball,  I still play in a baseball  ( APBA ) simulation league and a Fantasy Baseball league.

I'm a fan of my team, but more so a fan of the game.  I can watch pretty much any NFL or college game and be entertained.  That being said, I don't really care much for the final preseason "games".  The final preseason "games" to me are just slightly higher than watching practice or a scrimmage.

Preseason games are entertaining before the starters come out.

Being that the NFL stopped putting final NFL pre-season games on National TV  ( other than NFL Network  ),  think we are in the majority when it comes to final NFL pre-season games not being entertaining.

In the final pre-season game,  these days most starters don't even come in to the game in the first place.

Coaches are scared now. So are star players who know they don't need to play all four games.

  Understandably.

Even many, if not most non-star backups are now kept out of the final pre-season game.

Some of those backups are already hurt.

It will then be time for their backups to start.

Hence, why NFL week 4 preseason  games are pretty boring.  Don't expect the majority of Jaguars starters to even play.

Neither will the majority of Falcons starters.

Nor the majority of every other team's starters.

*shaking my head* It's not even the regular season and I'm tired of the overuse of the quote button and 'correction' of things that are 'wrong.'

Le sigh....
