Nah, Parkey was a Pro Bowler in 2014. I think we can agree that both Parkey and Graham are better than Myers.

If he's healed, you go with the younger Parkey.  If he has healed and is back in form (hard to tell since he wasn't given many chances this preseason,) you're probably getting several years out of him (as opposed to only one or two, max.)

I still think Myers has potential. But this is a key season for Gus and the team. We can't depend on the guy yet. If/when we cut him, I don't think he will be done in the NFL.

Why all he moaning over cuts?  We have a 53 man roster, you can't keep everybody.  It's a good thing that you see decent players leaving this team.  That means there is enough talent on the roster to make those kind of decisions.

Nope.  Jack will be the backup at OTTO, meaning they don't have to carry as many backups since he can play all positions.

Coaches don't have the power to make personnel decisions. That is 100% Dave Caldwell's job.

No it doesn't. We have to make decisions regardless of how good or bad the players are. Some players were only in Jacksonville for training camp (Ryan Quigley is an obvious one), which all teams do.

 

The reason people cry over cuts is they only get to see them in limited action during preseason games, when everyone not named Jason Myers looks better than he is. They are not in practices, meetings, etc.
