Where is he?

#1

I know this means nothing. But has anyone noticed that Justin Blackmon is not listed on the roster from Jaguars.com? I mean, its not like it means anything, but is this a sign to come? Could he finally be released? I thought I saw a WR with his number out there. Has anyone heard anything? Just asking.

Justin Blackmon is still on the reserve/suspended list. The Jaguars want to keep him there until he is reinstated by the NFL if that ever happens. No Jaguars wear #14 because he has it.

Wynn is listed as #14 on the PS. Blackmon is no longer listed on the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner section of the Jaguars roster.

I thought I saw someone wear 14 one preseason game. My bad.

I knew I saw someone with #14. Wynn.

The Jaguars finally reissued his number to Shane Wynn, but he's still on the reserve/suspended list. Granted, it was probably two years ago when I heard this, but I believe the reason he's still officially part of the team is that the Jaguars can't pursue his signing bonus money if they release him.

You should really click that 'quote' or 'post' button less often. And when you do, make sure you know what you're talking about.

He is off the roster.

LOL That is not making stuff up. In the three years since Justin Blackmon was suspended, I have not seen a single Jaguars player wear #14. Keep in mind I was only able to watch one preseason game, where #14 was Andy Dalton.

Now I see it: no number next to Wynn's name.

They're probably just sick at looking at his name. Even though this is considered the "official roster," it's not always precise and completely updated.

I'm thinking Blackmon is still suspended until we actually hear of news to the contrary.

Regarding the updated roster, and their possibly leaving out names, I'm still showing a couple names from nfl.com as being on our IR List who are not listed on this roster. Have they just overlooked them, or were they intentionally left off? In particular, I'm talking about Tony Washington and Earl Wolff. According to nfl.com, both players were waived/injured, but then subsequently cleared waivers and were placed on the Jaguars IR list.

Also, I notice a recent roster move. They put Shaq Evans on the Practice Squad/Injured list, and then placed Jamal Robinson on the PS.

I noticed this too. Michael Bennett and James Sample are not on the IR list either.

There have been no reports about the Jaguars releasing Justin Blackmon. If they did, it would be a big news story on many sports and football websites. So I have to believe Blackmon is still suspended because we have not heard or read anything about him. Also, nothing is more official than www.jaguars.com and he is on the suspension list there.

J-Dub, Blackmon's formality release from the Jaguars would make as much of a blip on the national radar as you announcing your retirement from the Crazy Cat Ladies Society would.

Americus, he's probably still on the team's "payroll" somewhere, even if they've removed him from the roster online and reassigned his number. I really do recall seeing that the team couldn't pursue his signing bonus if they released him. It's possible that they're just going to squat on his rights invisibly until the day he dies of an overdose of the stupid drug, or maybe they've already decided that he doesn't have a penny of it, he'll never have a penny of it again, and they're tired of wasting their time and money pursuing it. Maybe they're just squatting on his rights to make sure the Rams don't sign him in their ongoing quest for the perfect left guard.
