Dante Fowler Jr. & Malik Jackson

#1

Its amazing how he was earning the highest praise imaginable a few weeks ago to his non-existence in games now. GB got away with some MAJOR holding but I expected some decent pressure by him. I specifically watched him on most plays and his moves are sluggish - eerily similar to Andre Branch and I hope that this is not the norm.

Ultimately, I will give Fowler the benefit of the doubt with him coming off the injury - and this practically being his first NFL game.

Malik had a couple plays where he caused pressure up the middle, but not nearly enough. Lets hope he can earn his $90 million dollar contract in the coming games...

I said Jackson would not help pass rush. Anyone who thought so is living in fantasy land.

Fowler has to learn how to play DE, he's never done this before. It's sad that we took a project that high in the draft.

I was surprised with Malik and Marks in the middle on plays and they still just couldn't get the pressure.

They have played just one GAME, you act like this is the end of the season. Geez take a break from negativity and go take a nap.

Malik is not Aaron Donald or Geno Atkins, he's good, but he won't live up to the $90 million. Had to overpay to get a great player, but he'll be good for us. Can't do it all by himself though, need to get pressure off the edge and that didn't happen today.

Exactly, I was expecting disruption in the middle of pocket with those two...

It seems like Marks isn't like his previous self prior to the injury.

I don't have a good feeling about Fowler at all.  The coaches preferred to start Ngakoue ahead of him, a third round rookie.

Never met a woman or even seen a kid whine and complain as much as him.  He lives a sad life

We need to see more. Maybe the packers improved their line, or we over sold our new improved line.

Fowler started and made a tackle on the first play

You CLEARLY do not follow any of my posts because I am anything but negative as a whole. I am reiterating what happened in the games and fueling a discussion because I expected some pressure by these two players. Its slightly disappointing to see the sluggishness that Fowler exhibited off the edge - and I hope that he will change that.

So why don't you take of your safety patrol belt and calm down. Its not the end of the season and I was impressed with the level of play we exhibited. Too bad the refs had to spoil the game for us on multiple occasions.

I'm not going to jump on Fowler for his performance in his first NFL game. Jackson on the other hand....

Rookie DEs rarely do well. It seems fans expectations were a bit too high.
