This isn't college. NFL teams usually don't smash other teams. Not to mention, flying west coast is historically tough. I think they should win, but it will be a tough game.

Chargers aren't that bad. They still have talent and a great QB. They are not the Browns, they do make the playoffs semi-frequently. And flying across country probably won't help the jags, it never has in the past.

 

While all of that is true, after the game we played against the Packers I expect us to beat the Chargers like a rented mule. Not sure I would have said that before today.

Doesn't matter if Allen is out. We had plenty of games last year where a key player was injured and we had a team limping. And still lost. I have no confidence in this team until they prove it

 

Agreed.  We've seen 10 years now worth of games where we turn some average QB into Joe Montana and no name WRs into the fantasy star of the week.  As I mentioned earlier, Rivers always picks us apart.  He may not have HOF WRs to throw to next week but that hasnt stopped us from getting lit up before.  Until I see it, I'll remain skeptical.

Meh.  I'm over complaining about the offcials.  We lost because we couldn't get to Aaron Rodgers.  It's just that simple.  We failed as a defense.

 

To whine about the officiating is for losers.  Besides our coaching staff, I don't see this team as a bunch of losers.

 

The O-Line and the D-Line cost us this game.  Don't be such a mentally weak person to think that the officials were the reason we lost.  The fact is that even if we got a few calls our way, Rodgers still had plenty of time to pick us apart.  And when we needed a crucial first down, our O-line failed us.

 

That's why we lost.

I tend to agree with you usually, but when their offensive line is holding on every play and the refs don't call it - they set that standard that it's ok for them to grab and lock on to our players. Nevermind the phantom flags or missed calls. 

 

I don't latch on to officiating either, but this game was glaring and disturbingly officiated horribly.

I had to follow you guys on here for the game since I have no way to watch it and I was astounded at how many calls were not being held against GB and ones that were held against us. You know it's bad when the commentators are on our side because 99% of the time they are not. 

 

I have to give you all props. You made the game at the end heart attack material. I was dying up here with everyone's commentary.

It was a hell of a game, regardless of the officiating though. 

 

Our team played like they wanted to win against a perennial playoff team, and quite frankly, they should have.

So just another normal day. And I'm not quite sure how this loss was on Bradley. We had the ball with a chance to win at the end of the game after a big defensive stop. If anything, I question the offensive play calling the last series. Well...and the refs sucked.

Not sure we will win this one. Rivers is a Jag killer and the Jags ALWAYS play terribly on the west coast. I wouldn't chalk this as a must win as I certainly didn't have this as a winner on the Jags schedule. I do think if we do lose, though, it can be a confidence killer that can lead to a downward spiral. 0-2 looks ugly, but if we somehow fall to 0-3 or 0-4...oh boy.

Gates is the only one who's really a threat in this game. And we just held Cook to minimal yardage. With Allen and Johnson out there isn't anyone even as good as Adams, let alone Nelson and Cobb. While River's is a vastly underrated QB, he's not Aaron Rodgers. If we could hold Rodger's to the performance he just had, I don't expect RIvers to fare much better, especially without his weapons. This is not the same old Jags team.

 

I think we'll tackle the trip out West similar to London now. We know how to travel that far, California should be easier IMO.
