Myles Jack situation
|
Yeah I could care less about all this Leo/Otto stuff. Just figure something out so you can utilize the talent on your team. We really can play multiple defenses with the players we have but some how we end up with Poz covering the other teams best available receiver or a big end rushing on 3rd and long...

I understand why myles doesnt understand the scheme.. no one on the team does

Get him to play the MLB spot along with Smith and Skuta.. I believe it's time for Poz to be a backup...

Should just be a regular 4-3. No leo/Otto crap.
Line: Fowler-Miller-Malik-Ngakoue/Odrick LB: Telvin-Poz-Jack CB: Ramsey-Amukamara S: Gipson-Cyprien Quote:It blows my mind that Skuta starts over Jack. If we ran a 3-4 both Jack AND Telvin would be without a position. Just because the formation has 4 linebackers doesn't mean you get to line up any four linebackers. Quote:Lol I mean honestly I think the Jags should hand it over to the MB. It couldn't be any worse. The tag line could be "hey got any ideas? We've tried them all for 7 years and we still suck" Twitch Plays Jacksonville Jaguars. I remember when Gus Bradley was trying to "sell" us the defense he mentioned that the defense was simple and easy to understand. This allowed players to play fast without having complicated schemes. On paper that made sense, but I'm starting to think the reason the scheme is simple and easy to understand is so Gus Bradley can understand it.

They would be the ILBs in a 3-4. It would actually put both of them on the field and in better positions to use their speed and instincts all over the field. Having that type of speed in the middle of the field instead of one of them on one side of the field would be amazing. Quote:They would be the ILBs in a 3-4. Telvin and Myles need to have their jerseys clean and allow them to run and make plays.
Quote:Run a 4-4 How is it a 4-4 with 3 lineman? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Yes! This x1000. Jack should be on the field, no excuses.Yea there is no reason Jack shouldnt be playing, it makes zero sense, you suppose to adjust your scheme to fit your players We should be using Jack like how the Cards use Deone Bucannon, hybrid SS/ILB just get the guy on the field Also Fowler should be used more as a stand up pass rusher, he was great at that in college

Quote:Yeah, no. ILBs are supposed to be big and strong to take on blockers. Telvin and Myles need to have their jerseys clean and allow them to run and make plays. Jack is just as heavy as Poz. He would be fine. Now I will concede that Telvin may be a little light for that but I'm willing to be his ability can alleviate that issue.
Quote:It's weird that the packers can start a rookie LB that I've never heard of, but yet Myles Jack isn't ready to play yet. May be they're Trainin him to be a RB on da low. Making sure he got the scheme and plays first.
You Gotta Be Able To Run Da' Rock~

The only 3-4 fit of our LBs would be Skuta. I don't think we want to make a defensive switch to a defense that features LBs and with Skuta the only ideal fit. You may want to review the way a 3-4 looks and the players responsibilities. We practically play a 3-4. We could transition to it tomorrow and be a force
Just stupid. You play your talents. Skuta is so average. Putting Pullard in? My god... How much dumber can Gus get? Seriously... I feel like he hasn't learned a single thing after being a HC.

We could transition to it tomorrow and be a forcePaul was a MLB in college. I think the Bills were 4-3 his rookie year, then they switched to 3-4 after. When the Jags signed him, he cited the team's 4-3 defense as one of the reasons it appealed to him. He didn't want to be an ILB on a 3-4. MLB on 4-3 always has been his natural position. This team does not have a 3-4 personnel. If we *did* make the switch, Telvin would be the odd-man out, which is nuts considering he's the least of the problems when it comes to our linebackers. Fowler can probably transition to OLB on a 3-4 (though coverage responsibilities will be a question mark), and as I said, Skuta would be the other fit at 3-4 OLB. It makes no sense to do this and take Telvin off the field. |
