LOL that kid is a WR in the NFL. Bortles was a 66% passer in college. Bortles was 58% last year and 61% this year. 

 

Jackson is a 56% passer in college. Tebow was 66% passer in college and 47% in NFL.

Nope, sorry. Bortles had a bad game, but he is not the problem. The idiots who claim that BB's TDs last year were mostly garbage time need to go back and look at the games.  There were actually few games where the Jags were blown out, and in almost all of them, they were in the game in the fourth quarter. Very similar to the Packers game yesterday.

 

What disappoints me most about yesterday's game - in combination with the Packers game...is that we have no running attack, and we continue to make stupid penalties that put us in deep holes on drives.  You could see Bortles' anger with Luke when he got called for a holding plenalty.  It puts Bortles in a first and 20 sitiuation, and that makes playcalling predicatble.

Bortles played poorly yesterday, But, part of that could be contributed to the fact that he was facing a Charger's defense who have a coach on their staff who should know every weakness in Blake's game better than most.  Bob Babich almost certainly had some input into the game plan.  Not saying that's the only issue here, but if anyone would know how to rattle Blake, it's the guy who was practicing against him every day for a couple of years.  Bortles looked rattled most of the game yesterday, and actually showed something we've never seen before from him; frustration. 

 

I still think Bortles has tremendous upside, but he's got to get past the mechanical and mental mistakes in order to get to the next level.  San Diego had him confused most of the game yesterday, tricking him into checking out of plays and baiting him into high risk throws.  Blake can't hide behind the young player mindset any longer.  He needs to get better quickly.

how many rushing yards did we have? had we been able to run the ball (and against SD that has not been difficult to do for most teams) that would relieve some pressure off him. he isn't Manning. he isn't Brady. the guy needs a running game to be more successful.
