Poll: Should Gus Bradley be Fired this season

Fire Gus Bradley (MERGED)

Quote:Jimbo Fisher? Yeah, probably not.....

The next coach needs to be the opposite of Gus.........tough, less player-friendly.....also, a bit more cerebral, technical, and detail-oriented. Well, a lot more. Gus just looks like a much more likeable version of Rex Ryan to me, at this point. And, obviously, that's not intended to be a compliment.

(Btw, all of the above describes Jimbo Fisher to a T................although, I'm not necessarily recommending that course of action)

Jimbo is strictly a college guy.

Yeah it's all clearer now, Gus is the sacrificial lamb. Suck and accumulate talent for the real coach. This scheme was just to hide the tank job. Rotating your best players out was just a way to hide the tank job. None of what he is doing make sense until you view it through this lens. Make the offense line up slow so they can't audible out of plays. I refuse to believe these guys can't get lined up with 25 seconds left on the clock so the qb can audible to combat a 10 man front.

Yeah it was a tank job the whole time. I applaud Caldwell for finding the guy willing to ruin his career get this team set for the future.

Quote:My only reservation with Jimbo is he has zero NFL experience.

Whoever our next coach is, I just hope he is detail oriented and a tactician. Going all the way back to JDR, I can't tell you how many teams would out scheme us. Man, it would be amazing to just once be on the other side of that.

Yes, and it would also be nice to have a blowout win for once.

Yeah, gone to Barnes & Noble for a book of excuses.

Quote:Jon Gruden isn't really a good coach. Tony Dungy built that Bucs team and left. Jon Gruden comes in and all he has to do is be a decent coach because that team Tony Dungy built was a good one.

So, what you are saying is Jon Gruden is Steve Kerr?

Please, no college coach. Bring back Mike Smith.

Quote:Todd Haley should be given a shot. He is a great OC and would make this offense into something scary.

^^^ We have a winner.

We could leave our starters in during the preseason games.

Dude needs to seriously think about outsourcing his pre-game speeches.  Those players come out of the locker all confused and everything --- look at their starts vs Ole Miss & Louisville.

Bill Mahr was making fun of it a few weeks ago on his 6pm radio show.

Yep -- Poz is studying film in order to cover Mike Wallace and already revealed to the press that Mike Wallace likes to run fast.

I'm hearing that he is matched up against Steve Smith on 3rd downs.

I hope he isn't getting complacent and looking ahead to his London matchup with TY Hilton.

It's not just those two games, it's their starts in general. I'm used to seeing them fall behind against halfway decent opponents and go into halftime needing major adjustments.

Good point.  It did lead to a bunch of good Jameis comebacks -- I totally forgot about the prior seasons bad starts.

We will have to wait at least a week. By now Gus is installing his dopey game plan for the ravens. My guess is he will get canned after the London game in 2 weeks. I'll be celebrating for sure. Can't wait!
