Poll: Should Gus Bradley be Fired this season
Yes
NO

Fire Gus Bradley (MERGED)

Quote:This thread is about hiring a new head coach in 2017.

Sort of. But it's the overwhelming sentiment Gus needs to be fired. We still have 13 games left in this season and if we are looking for another coach the only viable option is to promote someone on our staff. It's ridiculous to think someone outside of the organization is going to come here on an interim basis, or an on-the-job interview. Every head coach hired is going to have sole control over his own staff hires.

So, the issue is, does Shad Khan want to salvage this season? Of course.

Meanwhile I'm watching a new eagles roster with a rookie qb put a beatdown on Big Ben and the squealers...

13 games for Marrone to prove himself. Fire Gus and Wash. Stop running this dumb defensive scheme and put Myles Jack on the field.

1. It can't get any worse

2. Gus isn't the long-term fix

3. Make a change now

Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today?

Bottom line, we better be for the team searching for a coach this season.  I'm tired of us dragging our feet and other teams getting 1st pick at coaching prospects.

The idea that any college coach we hire will just be drowing and in over his head just because hes from college is kinda nonsense.

This. Help us all sleep better tonight.

Firing Gus would make me feel better. It would show that our front office expects better, can admit they were wrong, and will not accept losing.

Instead they have too much pride and are willing to let this season play out.

There's no reason to continue down this road. He should be let go right away.

Quote:Because the bye week gives the interim coach an additional week to enact the changes they desire.

Firing Sprinkles today denies the new coach bye preparation how exactly?

Quote:Wait, he has been coaching? I just thought, for the past 51 games, he has been standing on the sideline looking stupid.

That too

Would LOVE to see Jon Gruden here. I'd settle for McDaniels

I wouldn't make a change with having to go to london. Gus has done this 3 times and knows how to get the team there. He knows ticket prices and hotel deals. New guy might lose a player a la home alone style.

Anyone with leadership.

Aside from the hard-core self-motivated players, there is no give-a-[BLEEP] factor at all on this team.

We need leadership, high-standards and accountability.

It can't get any worse, make a point now!  #accountabilitymatters

Quote:The only coach in college worth going after is Harbaugh. I do like David Shaw, but I don't know how he would translate to the Pro game.

Doesn't Shaw run a pro style offense out there in Cali?

Speaking hypothetically, if we hired Coughlin could you imagine the culture shock in the locker room between him and Sprinkles? It would be like walking into a boot camp from an ice cream social.

And that's exactly what this team needs..

I have to admit, Peyton Manning sounds intriguing.
