It's both. The coaching has gone stale and needs to be improved and/or replaced. The players are making too many mistakes (which could be talent and/or coaching). Bortles is looking BAD each week. There are still silly mistakes and penalties that are hurting this team which is a result of players not focusing.


The coaching regime has to go and the players have to improve.

The defense has played pretty well in the 2nd half for both the GB and Ravens games. They held both those teams to 6 points in the 2nd half.


So, there's been some type of "half-time adjustments" going in in that regard.


Who knows what the offense's deal was yesterday? Olson, Bradley, Bortles? We can't say for sure. All we can see is that the offense had 3 golden opportunities to win the game (and a 4th opportunity if you want to consider that last drive having a chance at a game-winning FG).

The record was bad when we had bad players. It was obviously the players, not the coaches, that made us suck for three years.

Bad players masked less than adequate coaching.  That's becoming clearer now that we've got more talent on the roster, and the team continues to flounder.

Injuries certainly contribute to the struggles, but the truth is, players who we should be expecting more from are struggling, and it has little to do with injuries.

Don't forget that head scratching non-timeout at 1:50 that let the Ravens drain the clock down to 1:20 seconds. Leaving us with only 30 seconds to drive it down the field instead of 70 seconds

 

I don't think that's a big deal. We either get the ball with 1:30 and zero timeouts or 60 seconds with 1 timeout.  Keep in mind we only needed a FG. If we needed a touchdown, I probably go with the 1:30 and no timeouts.

 

The problem was that 1) Blake made a terrible decision to check down on the middle of the field (though you can argue why would you even call a play with this option) and 2) that dumb sack he took when he should have thrown the ball away

Run block was terrible all day. But I actually thought the pass protection was pretty good in the first half. The second half was different.

New Jersey Jaguars fan.

Best example is bortles. He's closer to the Osweilers of the world and getting further away from the elite QBs as we speak.

I think this is due to poor coaching. The fact that he is going backward is evidence to me that he is not being properly coached. They don't use his strengths and force him into plays that don't suit his abilities. The more that happens the worse he will get.
