Favorite movie released during my teen years?  Probably... Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.  My (now) wife and I saw all three movies in theaters together, and they were awesome.

16 Candles belongs on that list. The others... notsomuch. I don't know, neither Breakfast Club nor St. Elmo's Fire ever resonated with me. Just didn't like them. 16 Candles however kills me every time.

We also had the Rambo movies, Predator, Alien, Terminator (the first one anyway), Back to the Future, etc. Other than the clothes, accessories, and hair, the 80's was a great decade to be a teen. We also had MTV when it was good, as in, what it was what it was meant to be. Although I enjoyed the first season of The Real World that was the point of no return for the crapfest MTV turned into.
