Their grades are especially questionable at LB, and the OL, and to a lesser extent safety, because they have to guess the assignments. Their grades at QB, RB, WR, DL, and CB are a lot closer to reality.

 

I agree.  The CB grading is still a bit dubious, but not as bad as the OL and LB grading.

Looking through this again, I wonder if Dave Caldwell is seriously kicking himself for waiving Tyrone Holmes. Still don't understand keeping Chris Smith or Dan Skuta or signing Arthur Brown instead of just keeping Tyrone Holmes. I have a feeling he is going to be a real good player.

Holmes would've been inactive anyways for us. I understood the thinking behind keeping Smith (did have a pretty good preseason). I think Caldwell was expecting Holmes to pass through waivers.


Like we were saying in preseason, the roster is finally talented enough to cut good players. This is going to keep happening. Boddy-Calhoun lost in a numbers game as well.

Yeah Rivers being a 46 and Bortles being a 45 in the same game is so close to reality.


The whole system is fundamentally flawed.
