What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Again, this does not fall in my teen years...but why has nobody mentioned:?
Office Space

"You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."
As a big Hunter fan , Fear And Loathing was probably the most watched film of my teens.
Someone mentioned The Wraith earlier. That's such an awesome 80's flick. I hate the ending though. It's kind of sad when he hands the Turbo over to his brother. And he knows it's him and he runs out of the burger place all like "Jaimmeeeeeeeeee..... come back man!". Right in the feels dude.

Dazed and Confused.
Party at the moon tower!
“It is the job of thinking people not to be on the side of the executioners.”

Not sure about a single favorite from my teens, but here's a few of the ones that made an impact for me:
The Karate Kid Rambo The Terminator Scarface Videodrome
"We believe in victory!" - Gus Bradley
"I don't want to believe. I want to know." - Carl Sagan
Some that come to mind..
Close Encounters The Neighbors (Belushi's last film, IIRC) Fast Times at Ridgemont High The China Syndrome Rocky
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Quote:When I was a teenager, my parents had a satellite dish when they basically first came out back in the late 70s/early 80s...and let's just say, there was no such thing as "Parental Controls" back then. I watched a lot of movies I wasn't supposed to be watching. Was there color back then or just black and white?

I was 14 when I saw The Godfather, and have not seen a better movie since. My favorite of all time, hands down.
Other notables from my teen years: Taxi Driver The Godfather II The French Connection The Conversation Rocky Jaws Apocalypse Now! One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest Deliverance And so on... The 70s was a golden era for movies.
If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already.

Quote:I was 14 when I saw The Godfather, and have not seen a better movie since. My favorite of all time, hands down. The Godfather was another great one that I forgot (though technically I wasn't quite a teenager when it came out). There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. Quote:That's a lot of depressing movies...lol Yeah, I guess they are. I tend to like movies that focus on the darker side of human nature.

Quote:Yeah, I guess they are. I tend to like movies that focus on the darker side of human nature. However, the movies that you listed are all very good movies. Hollywood doesn't put out movies like those these days. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Coming To America was the one that got the most long term laughs in my high school years. My friends and I quoted it often.
But the favorite movie of my teens was usually any movie at the theater that I didn't actually see much of - because I was there with a young lady whose usually peerless moral character was susceptible to tarnish when in a poorly lit room filled with the aroma of buttered popcorn and Drakkar Noir.
