I think the point is that, if you think there's a franchise guy in the draft and you have a shot at him, take him. Let nothing sway you.

So if Oakland was drafting second, hey have committed to Pryor, and really, really, want Clowney, you don't think hinting that the we like Clowney might be helpful in swapping picks and taking Bridgewater at #2?

"No advantage." ......really?

How many times has this forum debated this hypothetical? It doesn't work when the second team knows Jacksonville is taking a quarterback.

..Did you even read the last sentence of my post...? If you are drumming up trade interest you hint that you could go either way you don't just flat out say you will take one over the other.

Just being realistic, kid. How do you know the number two team isn't just bluffing you to get their quarterback, since it's so simple to put on a convincing smokescreen?

so you do know how to play poker?

Use to play cash tournaments for Texas and Omaha. Asking people if they play poker is not an effective means of elaborating on your vague poorly attempted point.

Quote:lol the anonymous scouts who was reported by canfora who thought geno was a top 5 pick? anonymous sources are laughable. nice try though.

Please give a link where a vast majority of scouts said Geno was going to be a top 5 pick. Thanks.

And to say that sources should be discredited because they are anonymous is absurd, most of the time when there is polling done by reporters their sources are kept confidential.

A basic strategy would be hinting NON anonymously that you could go either way.

Not anonymously saying you would do X over Y.

Can anyone dig up some negatives about Teddy's game other than the weak conference they are in before transitioning to the ACC?

I tried, couldn't find anything.

Honestly, the biggest knock I've seen that isn't SoS related is that he could use some work on his play action faking. Lolololol.

Sounds about right lol.

They mentioned on Gameday last week that he spent the offseason working on his footwork primarily in a boxing ring. And now even his footwork looks improved this year. Scouts love guys who show a lot of improvement year by year.

canfora and even shefter who has sources as scouts and are nfl insiders believed that geno would be a top 5 pick or a first round qb. it can be concluded that their sources had some influence in their thinking geno is a first round qb right? if shefter and canfora revealed their sources both their credibility would be shot.

The biggrst knock I see on him is his frame is a little smaller/ lighter than I'd like to see in my starter - he's 6' 3" 200 -ish.

I like my starting QB to be 6'4"+ and 230+.

But yes, the point is this kind of stuff is all there really is negative when you are talking about Bridgewater....he's that good.

How many QBs in the NFL are 6'4"+ and 230+?

Tom Brady did have weaknesses....I remember one being arm strength. So much so that Bill Belihick made him devote an entire offseason to improving his arm strength. It was on the Bill Belichick NFL network documentary last season, IIRC....
