Blake Replacing Nortman at Punter

Quote:What's so different between what Blake did and when Cam Newton hands every touchdown football to a kid in the stands? I don't think he deserves to be flagged for punting a damn ball. We seem to get flagged for just about everything else. #BecauseJaguars

Curious question though...would it be in Dollars or Euros? And not to derail this fine thread in any way, but I wonder what kind of taxes the players have to pay when in London?Good question. Well, it's work performed outside of US Jurisdiction, so I wonder if they would have to pay it at all.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
Thanks for answering my question with another question...that's very helpful.
Have you seen my baseball?

Maybe someone not as lazy as I has that answer. Anyone?State Tax, City Tax, and Elsewhere Twenty-two states and the District of Columbia have NFL teams, eighteen of which charge state income taxes. Then there are nine cities that charge taxes of their own. No player will file the maximum number of returns since none of them will play in every state. Even so, a guy who lives in one state (with a state income tax) and plays for a team in another state, can easily end up filing one federal return, a stack of state returns, plus several city returns. This year, two NFL games were played in London, where the top tax rate is 45 percent. Players will receive a foreign tax credit against the amount paid in the United Kingdom, but only up to the top tax rate in the United States, which is 39.6 percent. One of the teams that traveled to England to play against the Jaguars was California's San Francisco 49ers. California has the dubious distinction of charging the highest personal income tax rate, now 13.3 percent. This means whatever salaries the 49ers earn will be reduced by roughly 60 percent in combined taxes (45 percent to the United Kingdom, 13.3 percent to the state of California, and 1.45 percent federal Medicare tax). Ouch!

At least that has been my experience. The fine would be dollars, as he's paid in dollars - and all fines go back into the NFL's pocket, which is used for charity. Here's a bit on UK taxes, which come into play because you are taxed where your income is earned: http://www.accountingweb.com/tax/sales-t...ugh-tackle <p style="margin-left:40px;">"This year, two NFL games were played in London, where the top tax rate is 45 percent. So, players' checks are getting walloped up front for games over there, only to be credited back a good portion of it on their US taxes. EDIT: Ha... you guys beat me to it.

So in other words, players get screwed playing across the pond.

I'm not sure what you think you achieve by taking every post she makes, adding a dozen from other people and then accusing her of derailing threads. Ignore the posts. Resist the temptation to reply. Problem solved.
