Gotta see him the whole season first. I feel that terrible game popping up soon.

Why do you love to only say bad things about the Jaguars?

Quote:^This.

He has a stronger leg than Scobee, and Scobee had a pretty strong leg.

Jason (Halloween falls on Friday the 13th) Myers also is much better at onside kicks. Scobee was terrible.

If he can be 91% the player Scobee was in his prime, that'll do.

Quote:Pretty much.  Last season was the first season that extra point kicks were moved back from the 2 yard line to the 15 yard line.  It did cause issues with plenty of kickers including Jason Myers.  It's no longer a "gimme".

As inconsistent as he is, I don't consider anything for Myers to be a gimme.

Not sure where this "solid as a rock" nonsense is coming from from others.

He's got a long way to go before I have confidence he'll make kicks, to get back to where we were in Scobee's prime.  Right now, all we have is a younger version of the bad Scobee.

I don't see good kickers have the horizontal movement his kicks have - they veer sharply side to side unnecessarily.

In addition to his mental issue on extra points, he seems to have an issue striking the ball.

Just be glad they're veering inside of the uprights this year. Improvement.

A basketball player can shoot a perfect swish beautifully.

Another player can clink the ring, bounce off the backboard, roll around the basket, and drop through.

They both count the same.

But, yeah, point understood.

Hopefully the veering continues to stay within the uprights.

Hopefully he keeps it up and only gets better. But time will tell.

Anyone want to come out and confess how wrong they were about wanting to draft Aguayo???

lol, was funny the people that wanted a kicker kicked in the mid to early rounds. Not to mention he has a weak leg and a average at best kicker from 50+

Does anyone remember a time when kickers weren't expected to kick 50+ fgs. Now its a norm. In a pass happy high scoring league its wierd that kickers have to be able to kick from mid field.

Thank god.

Quote:Strange thing is; I was watching him during his pregame kicks as well as his half time kicks and he missed about 50% wide right. He'd get two straight down the middle and then two or three wide right. Then in the game he drills them all between the uprights with no problem.

Maybe he's testing what he can do and can't... whatever works for him.

Aguayo is now 4-of-8 on field goals this year, 4 misses. That is equal to how many misses Myers had ALL season last year (26-of-30).

Aguayo is a gamer.  He's 100% with game winning field goals with less than 10 seconds on the clock.  That's a better % than Vinatieri.

All other arguments are invalid.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Maybe we can unload Myers on the Bucs for Aguayo and a 1st rounder?
