There's no way they're benching Jalen. The one thought that popped into my head is that since Gipson isn't practicing, would they consider moving Ramsey to free safety for a game?

It sounded to me he meant (of the guys competing for playing time) "we have Prince and House on the outside, and Colvin will compete outside and be the Nickel"

Meaning Ramsey is starting outside and House/Prince are competing to start opposite him?

Yo HarlemJville, chill son. Ramsey is NOT coming off the field. They really don't have to tell the world their personnel strategy, at all. Any quips we get are just that, quips. TC and JDR were great at that. Simple Casey spoilt us with way TMI, often.

I just thought it was odd he didn't mention Ramsey. I only heard the answer and not the question.

I posted to get explanation from someone that may have heard more. Seems like Wash may have mentioned House/Amukamara together because they are competing for one spot, not starting opposite one another.

I hear you mate. They have options and shall tweak em accordingly. We may even see Ramsey inside sometimes, based on O lineup. Hopefully, House's funk wanes, adding him viably to the mix.

"This will be a good week of competition, we have 4-5 guys that can play winning football. We see House and Prince on the outside, plus we'll work Colvin back in on the outside and he'll be our sub-package in the slot."

Essentially, we have great depth of corners who can play both outside and in the slot. Good problem.

If Jalen sits I sit(not watching), for as long as Wash and Gus are here. My guess is he won't though, and it will be Ramsey/Prince with Colvin and house rotating as needed or in nickle. Jalen has more than earned a starting spot at outside corner.

If Ramsey isn't on the field for every single Defensive snap this Sunday and going forward, then this coaching staff needs to be let go now.

I don't care if he's playing outside, or inside at CB. I don't care if he's at Safety, LB, DT, or DE... I really don't care where he lines up, he must be on the field for every single Defensive snap, every game.

You play your best players regardless. At the end of the day, nobody gives a crap about veteran respect, or whatever you want to call it. If a rookie is playing better than the vet, you play him, end of story.
