CBS mock draft Oct 11th

If the draft fell like this who would you take?  With the 3 players most people like for the Jags off the board who would you take in this scenario?  I think they made the right pick, Cam Robinson instantly makes this oline better.  Slide him in to LG and could be insurance at tackle if Beachum  or Parnell go down.  Robinson could play either guard or tackle spot and has the potential to be elite.  Just because Joeckel didnt work out we dont need to be scared to address possibly the biggest weakness on the team.

No thanks to Cam Robinson at this point.

Also poor Browns.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I would prefer Adams or Tabor in this scenario, really have a lock down backfield for years to come.

First off, I'd stay away from Cam Robinson. Guy just seems like trouble to me but more info may come to light as time goes on. I guess I don't feel the pressing need to address O Line just yet since the Center and two Tackle spots seem solid right now. The team can get a Guard later for a better value pick.

I wouldn't take McCaffrey quite that high, but he is tempting. The guy is a do it all type of back that could give the team one hell of a stable of RBs. He's tempting for sure.

Another temptation is Cook from FSU. He's not as dynamic as McCaffrey, but is probably a better pure RB.

Someone who fits a need but is probably seen as a bit of a reach this early is Lotulelei out of Utah. He's a stereotypical Nose Guard but has been First Team Pac 10 every year he's been around. Could probably drop back and get him, but I think he would add some youth and stoutness to the Defensive Line.

I really don't get the Cam Robinson thing. He was being hyped as a potential top 5 or top 10 pick but has never really played like one.

I wonder how willing teams are going to be to trade down in this years draft. There seem to be only two QBs and OL seems kind of light as well. I don't think there's a lot of incentive for teams to move around.

I wouldn't think there will be a big market. The QB class is weak.

I thought the same thing about last year's class and look what happened there. Still, the point stands. A lot of good RB talent in this draft though. I don't think teams will trade up for any of them, but a decent one should be there for the taking if a team was so inclined.

We don't need a slot CB but Adoree Jackson in the 2nd round for someone would be really nice

With this mock, I'd hope for Jamal Adams. Would be a great addition at SS.

I would go Adams.

I also wouldn't mind Jonathan Allen. He can play both that big end spot and slide inside and is effective against both the run and the pass.

who is a better lineman in this class? Him getting caught with the gun and weed before the season is the only thing that worries me, I wouldn't be worried about his on field play

yeah, I thought about Favor. 2 shut down corners sounds nice especially if Prince goes to another team. McCaffery would be a good get as well if our ol8me improves throughout the season

Even without the off the field issues, I honestly don't think he is that great of a pass blocker. We'll certainly find out more over the next few weeks with how he does against Barnett and Garrett.

I think based on this mock tabor or Adams has to be the best pick. Like you say 2 shut down corners would be awesome, have we ever truly had that?

he is an average run blocker at the very least and an elite run blocker, im more than fine with that

No we havnt, and both would have the potential to be our 2 best corners in franchise history

In that situation I'd trade back as much as I could, pick the best interior lineman then use some of my ammo to trade back into the first if Freeman/Cook/McCaffrey were there around the 20s.
