Romo, Garrett and the Cowboys

#1

If this play gets overturned (and it should be), they would have blown a 23 point lead. Romo with 2 late INT's.

I kept it on but was doing stuff around the house and went back to see it was close. Stunner.

Wow.  Cowboys snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Unfortunately, Fox did not show the Jerry Jones booth in the fourth quarter. Would have been hilarious.

Will they ever learn? I swear this has happened 100 times and they continue to make the same mistakes. RUN THE BALL!

Holy crap it was 2nd and 5 and they obviously needed to kill clock.

Shay in Irving must be downright homicidal right about now.

As a long time Cowboy hater, I loved hearing the cheers from Packer Nation when the ref overturned that call. Jerry's palace must have been half full of Packer fans.

It seems to be the case almost every week. It's a destination game for opposing fans. And I think most of the good seats are bought by companies and given out. So plenty of them hit the secondary market. It seemed like a 50/50 split today.

Wow...DeMarco Murray actually had 134 yards with only 18 carries.

This was such an epic collapse.

I've got to think that old Jerry is rethinking his comment a few weeks back that Garrett is safe.

Garrett said after the game that it was a run call, but Romo threw the option route.  So it was mainly Romo being Romo.

They need to not let Romo do things that involve thinking and changing plays.

They need a defense.

Garrett said that Romo changed the play (not that it was a run play), but I don't think there were any running backs in the backfield. Just a coach trying to cover up obvious failure to coach.

That was one play. Fine, Romo blew that.

What about the rest of the 2nd half, mainly 4th quarter?

The one that boggled my mind was with about 5 minutes left, the Cowboys had the ball on about the plus 13, with a first down and winning 29 to 24. They eventually score on 3rd down, but on 1st and 2nd they went pass. Both incomplete. Took maybe 10 seconds off the clock. Run the ball on 1st and 2nd and you chew the clock up a bunch. Let's say you don't score on that 3rd down, you're still up 32-24 with a FG. This is one of quite a few examples in the 2nd half...that were not on Romo may I add.

The last int didn't appear to be Romo's fault. Then again, running plays to #11 in crunch time..... you make your own bed in that situation.

Not running the ball more in the 3rd and 4th quarter was inexcusable.

Looked something like this.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Cowboys need to remove Garrett, Jerry, and Romo out of the picture. I like Gus, Caldwell, but we need a QB
