What kind of builds yall rolling with?

Thinking about keeping it simple this time. Going full out Nord for the Stormcloaks this time. Probably start off with pure light armor and blocking and one handed weapons. Tote around a 2 handed weapon and bow to add some versatility for fun. Once that starts slowing down maybe to jump to a heavy armor set and some conjuration magic strictly for the bound weapon with soul trap effect. Don't want to get too far into magic this time. I always do a Breton Battlemage build but want to keep is hack and slash as much as possible this time.

I'm going with Breton Battlemage myself. Though I will be building up my archery levels as well.

I haven't gotten very far yet, just now visiting High Hrothgar. But it's awesome so far. Still not quite as good graphically as say Witcher 3, but what is?

I need to give Witcher III a chance. I bought the Complete Edition about a month ago. I tried it for a minute or two and couldn't stand the camera angles and jerky motions.

It's phenomenal. Great story and beautiful looking. The camera isn't too bad, you get used to the control quickly enough.

I'm doing a "brutish" Nord build with a focus on 2-handed weapons for the first go. I have almost always gone to a battlemage build in some fashion or another, so I felt like changing it up around this time - and I'm LOVING every second of this build so far.

Those are always fun. You going light armor or heavy armor? Once you get up into 50 in two handed weapons the death animations are awesome.

I'm going with heavy armor currently. I was stuck for a while whether or not to go light vs heavy armor… Decided to go full heavy because my characters have always been very mobile in some fashion or another.

I can't wait for those animations… I freaking love The Elder Scrolls games. There's a reason why Skyrim won so many awards back in 2011.

My favorite is when you're shooting an arrow and when you release it you're positive that you missed and all of a sudden it goes into the animation for a kilk

Is anyone playing on console using mods? I've downloaded a few and some of them have really improved the game.

Which ones have you used? I'm doing a dry run first and then I will incorporate some mods.

Any good ones to recommend?

Any good ones to recommend?
Mods I'm currently running:

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch

Vampire Perks Expanded

Werewolf Perks Expanded

Immersive Citizens AI Overhaul

Unleveled Items

Falskaar

The Gifts of Akatosh

Vampires Suck: No Attacks in Towns

50% More Perk Points

Ordinator Perks of Skyrim

Apocalypse- Magic of Skyrim

Phenderix Magic Evolved

Relationship Dialogue Overhaul

Karthwasten*

Soljund's Sinkhole*

Whistling Mine*

Shor's Stone*

Cutting Room Floor

The Forgotten City

Ars Metallica

Shezie's Winstad Hearthfire Kitchen

Shezie's Heljarchen Hearthfire Kitchen

Shezie's Lakeview Hearthfire Kitchen

The ones with the * by them give a little expansion to the smaller towns throughout the world and make them a bit more realistic.

The 2 magic packs added around 500 new spells between them. Some are really good and some are meh.

All of the perk mods I highly recommend. The expanded perk tree is amazing and the extra perk points mod really comes in handy.

Unleveled Weapons makes it where you don't have to wait until you get to a certain level to do quests to get the best weapon, you automatically get the highest available weapon.

Falskaar is a mod that was created by one of the developers of the game and adds a HUGE new area to explore that's about 2/3 the size of the original game world. Highly Recommend!!!

The Forgotten City is another nice add-on that contains a huge dungeon to explore with its own quest.

The Immersive Character AI Overhaul kinda did some wonky things to the game. The goal of the mod was to make the citizens act more realistic by running away from powerful enemies like dragons and vampires and other creatures that would otherwise kill them. One of the weird side effects of that is some of the merchants that are outside don't leave their homes. I just downloaded an update and hope that this issue has been corrected.

The dialogue overall keeps your followers and other NPCs from saying the same thing over and over again. You know arrow to the knee and what not.

The Gifts of Akatosh is the only special items mod that I have downloaded so far and I'm not quite high enough level to create them yet so I don't know how good it is yet.

The last 3 on my list are kitchens that have been added to your Hearthfire homes in the unused area in the back of your house. My only complaint is that it puts table in the area of your anvil and when you place an anvil there it looks weird.

I try to pick mods that improve the game by adding more things to the world but not unbalancing it too much. I'm probably going to soon add Frostfall, Campfire, and I Need Food and Sleep to add just a touch more realism to the overall game experience.

Wow, beautiful explanations! I can't wait to apply some of these mods!
