I'm not sure how it could be implemented. But a better solution to the 100% Electoral College Method might be 50 % of the vote would be weighted based on the Electoral College. The other 50 % of the vote would be weighted based on popular vote.


This reminds me of how representation per state is determined for the two chambers of Congress. All 50 states have 2 senators regardless of population. The larger the population in a state, ( including Washington DC ), the more representatives a state has in the House.

The 17th Amendment destroyed the power of the States at the federal level, an adoption of direct popular vote in federal elections would further impress the will of the Federal Government onto them. The States should be more empowered, not reduced.

   Though what I mentioned in the other post is something that I thought might ( not definitely ) be a better solution,   at the very least I'm going to have to give it more thought after reading what you mentioned.

Lol yea he said he wasn't going to change his statement that he didn't like the electoral college just because he won.


Truth is I don't think he knew what the electoral college really does when he said it and is just doubling down now.
