I am down to handguns and .22 rifles. I gave away all of my large bore rifles and shotgun to family members. My cancer has degraded my shoulder to the point that I wouldn't even try firing one.

Still have 2 Ruger 10/22's. One of them is the takedown, which is very cool. I have many handguns, but no longer carry. I am still legal to, but don't because I don't trust my arm anymore. Too many surgeries and too much damage.

Maybe someday I will carry again, but it's not a good idea for now.

Good idea. If you cannot effectively deploy your weapon quickly or safely enough it will probably do you more harm than good. If I were you I would at least get a strong pocket pistol. I have a Ruger LC9 that is really small but has of course 9mm stopping force. Thing is like 18 ounces unloaded. if your meds are rendering you incapable of quick decisions then definitely don't carry yet.

I have a nice Smith and Wesson .380. It's one of the shield models with the laser sight. I could easily carry at least that, but don't trust my arm and overall strength.

Maybe someday, but not now.

You can get drugs prescribed on the street?  I thought you could only buy whatever the guy under the dimly lit overpass had to sell.

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Roller, get you a buddy with a front end loader and push up a berm. Easy backstop.

Father in law just passed last week. Picked up a Sig p226 from West Germany, and a like new Ruger .22 Super bearcat.

Anyway, there are few things more self-endangering than a gun in my hands.

Why didn't you tell me this before?  All this time I've been swiping pads from my doctor's office and writing my own.
