If the Draft were today who would we pick?

#1

We would be picking third overall based on the current standings.

Who is worth taking with that pick?  Do we go QB?  Are any of these guys worth that pick?  Many of the rankings I've seen have very few offensive linemen in the top 10 talent wise but we need more help there than on defense.

Is the Clemson QB worth #3 overall?  I've seen rankings that put the Notre Dame QB above Watson.  Heck there are a few that put Trubisky (North Carolina) above Watson.

Our season is done.  We might as well talk about something positive even if it is 6 months away.  So which way do you guys think we will go?

We have an entire forum for draft talk.

Well, the mods usually allow draft talk on the main Jaguars forum when it is relevant.  I am saying that for us, Draft Talk is now relevant because our season is over.  But, the mods here evidently don't agree.

Trade down and take an O-Lineman.

If he's there you gotta take Jon Allen. Can't miss prospect with very little downside if any.

Myles Garrett or Derek Barnett

Garrett, Peppers, or Allen. All of those guys bring hard pierce defensive talent to the team. I say we get Garrett and move Fowler to SLB. That would be the best scenario. I like Mitch Tribusky a lot just not good at evaluating a QB so for the eye test he seems like the best QB this upcoming draft..

Convert to a 34 and draft Fournette

I think Cook will be the better pro. Gets it done behind a subpar offensive line.

Garrett or Allen.

Fortunately I think Fournette's ankle worries and Cook's major shoulder worries (not to mention a 2nd rounder and big FA $$$) will preclude us from making the mistake of drafting an RB that high.

Pass rusher or Peppers is the obvious pick. Maaaaaaybe Quincy Wilson if he explodes athletically.

Myles Garrett, Jonathan Allen, or Malik Hooker, in no particular order.

No one has really mentioned Hooker but he is definitely someone to keep an eye on.

I've seen people say he could be Eric Berry/Ed Reed/Sean Taylor good.

Yep, no one talks about him because he wasn't in everyone's preseason mock drafts and the media isn't covering Ohio State as heavily as last year. But Hooker would take our secondary from average to potentially one of the best in the league with Ramsey in his second year.

Peppers unless Garrett is there.

Should the Jags take Peppers or Hooker if Cyp is re-signed??

Isn't Hooker more of a FS? We have Gipson. I rather go for Jamal Adams or Gabriel Peppers if we are looking to draft SS. But our pass defense is already great, the best option would be to add to the DL. Garrett or Allen would do just fine.
