Give Gus another year
|
Quote:Did you miss the recent 3 game stretch in which we were outscored in the 1st half by a score of 57-6 Hackett's offense has been much better in that area. Build the OL and get better QB play while the defense matures. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Set us back from what? There has been no progress. We are going to win 2-3 games this year same as a few years ago. We would be far better off if we just kept Del Rio. Oakland is in the same year of their rebuild as we are, they are going to the playoffs, we are going to another top 5 pick. lol, yep, the poster must be one of the very few Jags fans left in the entire world that, somehow, doesn't see that it IS GUS, who is setting us back, at least one of the biggest reasons. I really can't believe that anybody really thinks that letting Gus go would somehow set us back even more then we already are. That's just unbelievable to me.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
If you are really serious....., the answer is no. He's had his time and has not shown what it takes to be a successful HC in the league. With the talent we have on this roster, we should be way better and the coaching staff is mainly responsible for that. He's a good dude, but he's not the guy. Once we get a new staff, hopefully we'll see a better Bortles too. Otherwise, he's gone as well. There's a reason why most teams in the league don't give a lot of time to leadership personnel anymore. It's because of what the Jags are showing right now. 4 years and there's no real difference (in record) than when it was started. It's time for a change!
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

Quote:I would actually keep him, but relieve him of his coaching duties. If I had to pay him regardless, he'd be reporting to work every day. Put him in some small office in the stadium, and put him in charge of guarding a stapler day in and day out until his contract is finished. ![]()

We were all ready to move on from Mularkey, Del Rio and Coughlin.
They each have proven that they're capable (to varying levels) in different locations. Did they just suddenly become amazing coaches once they left 904?
You're Welcome.
oMG, its true!
Well that was then and this is 2016 season end and were headed again for our worst season since he got here. No Khan.........please fire the clown and staff....PLEASE!
Because Jaguars is our mantra

Quote:I wouldn't urinate on Gus's gums if his teeth were on fire Most of the time you gotta pay double for that kinda action anyway.
I'm afraid that Khan thinks similarly to the OP and that we're "just this close..." from turning the corner and won't fire his good buddy Gus. Our illustrious owner seems to operate out of principle instead of results and keeping Gus around for the whole season instead of booting him after the Titans game seems to have been done "just because I don't believe in it" rather than in the best interests of saving the season. Marrone could have us at 5-6 and still in the hunt, but ol' Shad seems to have "Huggy Bear" feelings for Bobblehead Bradley.

Quote:Gus is signed through the end of the 2017 season. Shad should let Gus complete his contract. We don't need to attract a new DC or OC and won't be spending big in FA, so Gus's lame duck status shouldn't be a factor. You already made a thread that said Todd Wash for head coach and now you say give Gus another year at Head Coach? https://jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/to...ead-coach/ You are more lost than the coaches.
Dumbest thread I've seen in a long time. There needs to be an IQ test before you can start a thread this stupid.
