I honestly think that the offense doesn't score in this one.

Cut spacecoastjag a little slack, guys.

He hasn't been able to post in a while because the defense had been playing well and BB had been playing awful prior to the Bills game.

Now, space only has 1 week to try and crow about Bortles because he has to get all his arguments in before Denver shows up and makes Bortles look dreadful.

Denver is gonna get 2 INTs (one of them possibly a pick-6), and probably a couple sack-fumbles when Bortles drops that ball to his waist.

Don't worry though space. If Bortles plays well against the Donkeys, I'll be the first to say I was wrong about the game predictions.

Quote:BAHAHAHA This is a playoff caliber team? With the #27 scoring defense, #30 running game, #32 head coach and #30 o line? You're a funny guy
#6 defense in yards per play

#10 defense in force punts per game

#17 in yards per carry at 4.2

#15 in sacks allowed per play at 5.25%

Literally everything on this team would be average or better if Blake could just sustain drives. Everything about this team is impacted because on 3rd and 4-6 to go Blake is at 44% completions with a 50 passer rating 4.3 YPA and on 3rd and 7-9 to go he is at 40% completions with a 20.1 passer rating 6.0 YPA. Those numbers are downright ghastly.

The running game could run more and their overall rushing yards would look respectable. The defense could stay off the field and their scoring defense would look respectable. Everything is because he has sucked.

#24 in 3rd down defense

#27 scoring defense

3.6YPC rushing from the RBs, only Blake is making the rushing game look competent with his scrambles.

Isn't it great trying to cherry pick stats to make a point when there's almost nothing that can be drawn from the stats of such a dysfunctional team with such horrible coaching?

It is funny how everyone thinks the defense is good.  They looked good in the first half and then the second half came when the Buffalo Bills scored 22 points making Tyrod Taylor look all pro and Lesean McCoy running up and down the field like Pop Warner football...lol

I didn't cherry pick, I just pulled up some common rate stats for the oline and defense. I don't care too much about overall stats because they obfuscate the truth with so many variables. Rate stats are far, far better.

Yes, the Jags defense definitely needs to get more turnovers and sacks, but otherwise the team has been pretty solid except for the QB.

For the love of God spacecraft, let it go! Stop making dumb stat threads about Blake. Dude sucks, and can't throw a spiral in consecutive throws.

He's played well the past 5 weeks. 11 TD- 4 INT, 89 QB rating.....You don't know what you're talking about per usual.

You're including the Titans game in that?

Blake was god awful in that game.

Is this a joke? They are #27 in PPG allowed AGAIN, for the 4th season in a row. That's all that matters. If the offense was GOOD last year and the defense was #31 in PPG allowed and the offense is BAD this year and they are #27 in PPG allowed, what's the difference? They still suck.

Last in NFL in takeaways. First in penalties. It's bad. They make Tyrod Taylor look like Randall Cunningham and LeSean McCoy look 18 years old.

89 QB rating for 5 weeks in a row combined. Is that not good enough? Please.

Try improving the #30 running game, #32 head coach, and #27 ranked scoring defense before you bash the ONLY player on offense making plays. LOL

You are so off base it's not even funny.

No one is denying that this team is totally lacking in some areas. But the QB play, for the most part this season, hasn't been good either. You are the only person on this planet who thinks Blake doesn't deserve any of the blame this season. The running game has been bad but you know what has improved? Pass protection. I've seen Blake with a lot of time in the pocket only to miss a wide open player downfield. If he connects on a couple of those, the Jags win those games.

The defense is giving up points but how many times has Blake thrown a pick 6? How many times has he turned the ball over and given the other team a short field. It's not all on Blake and 95% of the board knows this. Get a clue and stop posting this garbage. Talk about something else.

It doesn't bother me one bit that he's our starting quarterback. I know better. Henne wouldn't produce much more and Allen is still a rookie who didn't really show much to be desired in the pre-season earlier this year. It still doesn't mean this fan base has to smile and accept the fact that our third overall pick from the 2014 NFL Draft class has clearly not lived up to his status while quarterbacks taken after him in that class (Derek Carr) and guys taken a year after (Marcus Mariota & Jameis Winston) make him look like a rookie in virtually every key aspect of being an elite, franchise signal caller. With less career starts and similar situations as far as different offensive coordinators coming in and out of the building.

I wouldn't mind some of the fanatical behavior and wonder boy obsession for Bortles around here if he actually played like he deserved it. I think what's happened is that Jacksonville has grown so accustomed to mediocre and average quarterback play from guys like Leftwich, Garrard & Gabbert that they've now developed this sense in their heads that a guy that may look the part at times and can put up gaudy numbers when the game is out of reach is somehow an NFL caliber franchise signal caller. Which he's not.

Yeah, wobbling passes, pick-6's, missing wide open TD throws, announcers for 5 straight weeks dogging Bortles,, etc..

He played great.

He looked good in the Bills game. Hackett's game plan was geared to avoid the areas Bortles has been struggling with, and it worked.

Peyton Manning threw wobbly passes too. What's your point?

Bortles has been the best player IN JACKSONVILLE the past 5 weeks of the season. 11 TD- 4 INT and a 89 QB rating. Who else has stepped up the past 5 weeks?
