Is this the worst Offense in Jag History?

Seattle South.... hahahahahahahahaThis defense gave up 206 yards of offense today and will end up 5th in the league this week. Scheme appears to be working pretty well right now. Denver used a game plan today for their rookie QB that didn't have him taking risks. They ran the ball alot, and were doing their best to just protect the ball. All the 3 and outs by Denver showed that they weren't taking much risk. Why should opponents be uber-aggressive and make a lot of risky throws against Jax? All a team has to do is protect the ball, don't make mistakes, and wait for the Jags offense to make their own and lose the turnover battle. I didn't see Houston taking a lot of risks? KC? Detroit? All teams have to do is play safe, and they'll most likely get a victory.

Yeah Jagherd, I have noticed that as the strategy used against us. We have seen it for 2 years running. Only 2 coaches have been burned by the vanilla super safe gameplan this year. We are not just bad... we are boring as heck. I am watching the red zone channel and watching other teams actually play football, I can't help but be beat like a dead horse on how pitiful our HC is this year.
We should own the division this year.

Chlamydia > Jags offense
That's just how bad it is.

Whenever a team needs to move the ball and score on the Jaguars they can do it pretty much at will. It's just that most of the time teams play it safe. So even when Bortles has a decent game it's not going to matter because the other team will just do whatever they need to win and the Jaguars won't stop them. The team overall is as soft as Gus's softserve cones. Quote:I think this is really it. Whenever a team needs to move the ball and score on the Jaguars they can do it pretty much at will. Last year it was the same darn thing. At least he got a good challenge call today. Does it bother anyone else that he was waiting for the replay inside the stadium before throwing the challenge flag? I mean what no one on the staff is watching for this stuff? Ugh!!!!

The Jags defense rankings are skewed to make them look much better than they are because teams don't have to take any risks and push the ball down the field. They know the Jags are going to throw an interception, muff a punt, or commit some atrocious penalty and defeat themselves. Why take any risks? Just kill the clock and play it safe.
If the Jags D was really good, we'd have a lot more turnovers. We simply lack playmakers. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! But at least this offense CAN get the ball down the field. Gabbert couldnt stat pad like Borltes can. One thing Blaine does have over Gabbert is better energy, scrambling ability, he showed us the potential to be exciting in certain ways but it comes down to his inability to throw a football and consistently bad decision making.
I think people forget how truly inept our offense was with gabbert under center.
Yeah, BbInt sucks. But gabbert was on a whole other level. And remember that our best wr back then was Mike (MT80) Thomas. We were bad back then. Epically bad. |
