I think there are a lot of nutcase leftists who don't understand the sun decides our fate.
Here's a little hint in case you've never thought of it before: The sun will destroy the Earth one day. Taking every single living thing with it. You cannot change that. You cannot affect that. The planet, including everything living on it - animal, plant or otherwise... will be destroyed. The sun will not fuel itself forever. It will burn out. That's the long term truth. The short term truth is that the sun, and the sun alone, is our thermostat. As it goes, we go. Currently we are cooling as the sun is going through a phase in it's life that is currently causing the planet to cool. In case you didn't notice, nutcase leftists, this is what causes temperatures to cool at night and warm again during the day. Mother nature and common sense say "Hi!" And that, as they say, is science. https://astronomynow.com/2015/07/17/dimi...e-by-2030/

Quote:I think there are a lot of nutcase leftists who don't understand the sun decides our fate. I'm aware the nothing lasts forever. Read this if you are actually interested in solar activity. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_cycle The relevant part from the link: "The current scientific consensus, most specifically that of the IPCC, is that solar variations do play a smaller role in driving global warming, since the measured magnitude of recent solar variation is much smaller than the forcing due to greenhouse gases. Also, solar activity in the 2010s was not higher than in the 1950s, whereas global warming had risen markedly. Otherwise, the level of understanding of solar impacts on weather is low."

Quote:Oh good you found "one of the good ones". Let me know when the rest of the scientific community gets on board. Continue to interpret things all you want. That's the best part about science. Science doesn't care what you think. Did you even read the freakin link? There's a post "to be or not to be a climate heretic" or something to that effect that talked about three scientists, two of who believed climate is changing but disagreed on the scope and influence of man. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing with "experts". Healthy discourse and dissent should be encouraged. As the article said, experts believed the food pyramid. They believed we were in a global cooling. They've told us eggs are bad for you, then good for you, then bad for you, then good for you. They're finding now that unsaturated fat and cholesterol are actually not the devil like we though twenty years ago. Experts believed the earth was flat. I can go on and on. There's actually been information that's come out that many peer reviewed articles are often faulty with flaws and can't be replicated. Just because you're an "expert" doesn't mean you can't be wrong. Nor because you're not a professor at MIT doesn't mean you can take a reasonable look at the data and arrive at different conclusions. Experts can be wrong. But you will never prove the scientific method wrong. Quote: But you will never prove the scientific method wrong.I will say that if this is true then the word settled science would never be used again, in climate change talk or any other form. One of the most key tenants of the scientific method is to always be a skeptic. Climate skeptic or climate denier would be a badge of honor and not a cheap label to try to smear the target instead of have any true intellectual debate.
