Jags 1st pick = Near guaranteed bust.

Or the second pick - or the third for that matter.

I'd like them to take a QB before the 5th for sure.

Also - draft forum.

This bum Bortles needs to be replaced. No way that's gonna happen if he isn't picked within the first 2 rounds.

Well, that's certainly your opinion.  And an elegant backpedal as well.

I'm just messing with you a bit.

I want them to take a QB - but I think there may be some guys worth trying in the 2nd, 3rd or maybe even 4th rounds if they aren't sold on one of the guys going early being a sure thing.

No.  Just no.  Not this year.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I second that. There are no QB's worthy of a 1st round pick and especially not a high 1st rounder. When you start reaching for a need in the draft, even though the players at that position are are not elite, all you are doing is setting your franchise back even further.

That's nice, but I don't think there is a franchise QB in this draft and even if there is, he'll be gone before we pick. You're best best will be at the top of round 2. After that, historically, the chances of him being a franchise guy become very slim.

Watch his National Championship game snaps against Bama last year and tell me what you see.

He's basically a more polished version of Dak Prescott. 30-3 in his college career.

I'd rather sign Colin Kaepernick, outside of the Bears game, he's played well this season. His tools are some of the best the NFL has ever seen, he's still young, and has a ton of upside. I expect the Jags new coaching staff to be interested in a guy like Kaepernick.
