Jeff Fisher fired...should the Jags be interested?

Quote:Not because of him but it helps. :-) I'm not sure who I'd go with. The only thing at this point that would make me jump ship is if the Jaguars are no longer in Jacksonville... I'd probably go with either the Cowboys or the Broncos, since they are in my Market... But I wouldn't be happy about it We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

At least Fisher could win in Duval.
Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Media on the Brain Link! Quote:Peyton must store oxygen in that forehead of his. No way I'd still be alive after all that choking. Quote:I'm not sure who I'd go with. The only thing at this point that would make me jump ship is if the Jaguars are no longer in Jacksonville... How bout' them Cowboys!!! Quote:He would be an immediate upgrade, but best for the long term? Are we looking for a coach or a ball boy? I'm genuinely confused, because Fisher would suck as both. Quote:Fisher has had Terrible QBs for a lot of those years, especially the last few seasons in STL and LA. Did you ever think about how good Nick Foles was in Philadelphia? He was only bad in St. Louis. That tells you something about the head coach.

Trivia question: Now that Fisher is out, who now olds the record for most NFL losses for an active coach?

New Mexico comes to mind as a state that has a large following for both the Cowboys and Broncos. Quote:Dan Reeves Wait, Reeves is still coaching? I must have been in a coma the last couple decades. Quote:The ONLY thing that the Jaguars can do that would cause me to stop being a fan would be to hire Fisher. I can abide practically anything. I am about as dedicated and patient as they come in most things but this would be a catastrophe I can neither abide nor condone. I certainly appreciate the thought. Yet, for your sake and the sake of all of the other great Jaguars fans, I hope Jeff Fisher never becomes the HC of the Jaguars.
I would stop watching this team immediately if they hired Jeff Fisher as a ticket taker, much less head coach.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

He'd fit right in here. After all, this is his 2nd home field.*
Kaishakunin for hire.

Nah, don't want Fisher. He'd be an upgrade to Gus, sure. But it'd leave a nasty taste in your mouth to have Fisher as your coach, not to mention he's not done well with the Rams at all. 2007 is the last time he had a winning record--that's nearly a decade.
If the Bengals bid farewell to Marvin Lewis, I'd consider him. He has a better record on challenges than Fisher, managed to make the Bengals pretty competitive. Yeah, he's never won a playoff game--but he got AJ McCarron to almost beat the Steelers in the playoffs. He's also won a higher percentage of games than Fisher. In fact if we get word Marvin Lewis is going to be fired, I'd love to hear that Khan has a limo waiting to pick him up.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Quote:While a genuinely dumb suggestion, it shows the level of desperation Jags fans feel about replacing this train wreck coach we have now. Sadly
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
