Reportedly Kahn couldn't wait. Said....

Words mean nothing at this point to be honest. If Khan wants to land a big fish and that hinges on Dave hitting the road, it could happen.

Time shall tell... Maybe just stop drafting people from UF could be a good start.
Quote:It couldn't wait til Monday morning? Why, Mondays are crispier? If the end result is adios, few hours to save face is just another perceptibly dull stance. Be big, be dirty. We've done worse.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Go all out Mighty Jaguars.
Quote:Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Jaguars decided after the Vikings game to change coaches. Because the Jaguars wanted to start the search immediately — and because they didn’t want to start the search for a new coach with the old coach in the building — the Jaguars decided to move on from Bradley. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/12/18/jaguars-fired-gus-bradley-because-they-wanted-to-start-the-search/

I think the timing was perfect.
A lot of the fans would still be angry at the result, so this is positive news to boost spirits. ![]() 80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics... Quote:I think the timing was perfect. The end of his first season would have been perfect timing
Quote:The end of his first season would have been perfect timing Haha well yes, besides that of course. ![]() 80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics... Quote:The whole hate just to place blame on the next is ridiculous. Dave is not part of the problem. He has drafted very well.If this was true he would not be the first GM in history to be making a 5th straight top 5 pick. We show less advertisements to registered users. i believe Khan knew he had to go....but for a team to blow a lead like 20-8....and the prospects for clots and tacks coming up.
I imagine this is how Khan felt... ![]()

I for one wish Gus the best in the future. Yes his record was his downfall and demanded a change, but I will not celerbrate anyone loseing his or her job.
I think Caldwell should have been axed as well. He's just as guilty and at fault for this current era of failures. I think we're making a mistake by keeping him on board for one more year. You rooted out the issues on the surface by firing Bradley but the underlying issue may still be Caldwell at the end of the day.

Didn't wait till Monday because he didn't want to see his face at the facility and cave. This owner loved the guy. When it's time you have to put O'yeller down, unfortunately for the franchise they waited too long.

Quote:The end of his first season would have been perfect timing The end of his first 8 game losing streak would have been even better. How many 8 game+ losing streaks should a HC get anyway?
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:How? Unless they are going hire to someone that is not currently an NFL coach, it has no bearing. There's a good possibility that played into it, and I don't think they have their search that refined yet, but the Rams have dibs on the "not working" group and they need to catch up. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
I understand the LA market has a carrot or few but why would you want to coach for Kroenke? My big issue with this mess is the organization liking him too much. All indicators are they were trying to see any progress to justify keeping him again. This guy is the ultimate sunk cost. They sure like the coach more than the fans (tongue in cheek).
