I would consider that, if it weren't for what's also going on at QB.  They are both "his guys."  Khan's trust has been in Caldwell to get the coaching and player acquisitions right.

 

Khan lets his people make the decisions.  I am more willing to believe he stepped in after being on the sidelines too long, than the opposite - that Khan had been holding the GM reins (keeping them from Dave) and sticking with Gus until the guy who hired him finally turned on him and spoke up loud enough to take back GM control from the owner.
