RB Royce Freeman returns to Oregon

#1

I didn't see this one coming. RB Royce Freeman announced he is returning to Oregon for his Senior season. I understand where he is coming from, but I am disappointed. I really thought he or Samaje Perine of Oklahoma would be someone the Jags might target in the 2-3 round. Both are big, bruising runners with breakaway speed.

I feel like it is dumb for any halfway decent RB to return to college when they could declare.

It's a deep RB class. Coming out next year could work in your favor vs coming out in an oversaturated draft class.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me but I am not sure it is worth another season of 200-300 + touches just to move up in the draft potentially.

I believe it is. Considering the odds are against you making it to that second contract, and completing it if you happen to be lucky enough to get it, it's best to try and maximize the first go around. Especially at RB.

Terrible example. Would Fasons career been any different had he stayed in college another year? Nah.
