McDonald’s website advises staff NOT to eat fast food

Quote:In moderation McD food is harmless. Can the same be said for cigarettes and heroine? They did say the same thing for cigarettes 40 years ago. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:They did say the same thing for cigarettes 40 years ago. How is that relevant?
Quote:Yep, and because of the cheap meal prices, McDonalds will continue to make millions of dollars. Its cheaper for an adult to eat a weeks worth of McD's than buy and prepare a everday home-cooked meal. Link?

btw heroin is legal, you just have to have a perscription.....but it wasn't so long ago you could just hit up your local pill mill. But yeah Mcdonalds is garbage.

I will eat fast food on very rare occasions. Wendy's or Zaxby's is usually my go-to spot. McDonalds? Pure garbage. The food is terrible. And the hours after eating it can be almost painful. The McStomachache. No thanks.

Quote:Link? Link? Really??.... If you eat only the dollar menu items, its pretty easy to deduce that it would be cheaper to eat there than making 3 home cooked meals of a similar amount of food.

The McStomachache. No thanks. Wendy's, Taco Bell, Chick Fil A, and Roy Rogers/ Hardees for me. I agree about McDonalds, the food is "meh" to begin with, as none of their burgers are as good as ones you can get elsewhere, and also the food is NEVER hot when served at McDonalds. If you are lucky, you might get it lukewarm. Pass. I have yet to see a "Zaxby's".
Why do people always come after fast food? Restaurant food is worse as far as being "healthy". I wouldn't be surprised if most meals people cook at home are worse.

Had a McDeluxe quarter pounder yesterday for lunch ... #7 on the combo menu.
I probably eat worse than anyone I know. Dinner last night was 2 large pieces of pecan pie, a small bag of fritos, about 10 pieces of Whitman's chocolates from a sampler box, along with several handfuls of Planters mixed nuts washed down with 3 land shark beers.
Quote:Had a McDeluxe quarter pounder yesterday for lunch ... #7 on the combo menu. Throw a Double Whopper in there and you have a Mad Dog snack..
Quote:Had a McDeluxe quarter pounder yesterday for lunch ... #7 on the combo menu. Curious, was the Quarter Pounder served hot or lukewarm like usual McDonalds....? How about the fries? Same thing? Quote:Throw a Double Whopper in there and you have a Mad Dog snack.. The Double Whopper is so much better than any burger McDonalds serves its not even close.

Quote:Tryin to say that you give The Double Whopper 3 chins up? Yup. I might go get a Dbl Whopper today.
Quote:You really think a weeks worth of food at McDonald's is cheaper? Man if I wanted to live cheaply (with protein) I could....and I could make it much cheaper (and a lot healthier) than Mcdonald's If ordering the cheapest meals (Dollar Menu) yes, a person could save money. Quote:It's not about the relative harm each product does, it's about the argument of personal responsibility. The argument is that it's the parents' responsibility to not feed their kids crappy fast food and that McDonald's is justified in marketing to kids if they think that's the best to make a profit. The exact same argument can be used for any harmful product be it fast food, cigarettes and yes, even heroin. If it's my personal responsibility not to fill my body with crap than why shouldn't heroin be legal? After all, the dealers are simply supplying a demand. Thanks for the clarification. But to your point, Mcdonalds isnt the only restaurant serving unhealthy food. The reason so many people eat there is because of affordability. If some of the more casual chains like Paneras, Chiptole, etc came down on their price but still maintained a quality product, they would be just as lucrative and have MILLIONS more stores than what they have now.

Quote:Link? No link but its common sense price comparaison. Everday dollar menu (cheapest menu) at Mcdonalds is 5.89 (2 cheeseburgers with medium fry and drink) 5.89x7=41.23 Price to make same type of meal at home using Wal-Mart shopping list. 1. pickles- 3.27 2. mustard 4.78 3. ketchup 3.98 4. mayo 3.24 5. hamburger patties 13.38 6. hamburger buns 4.12 7. bag of french fries 7.34 8. oil 5.98 9. soda 1.75 10. amount of electricity used to cook fries and patties with everything else off in the house 10-25 wattage so dollar amount will be about 7-18 dollars depending on cooking time which in this example ill use a median of 12 dollars. total is 59.84 here is a quick link for people to eat cheaper at Mcdonalds. http://www.squidoo.com/eat-cheap-at-mcdonalds

And if any of us wanted to eat cheeseburgers every damn day you'd have a point. But personally I don't. For my personal comparison; I had a large Big Mac menu yesterday costing €7,25. For that price I can make a meal for a family of three at home. Four if I don't like my kids that much.

Lets remember some people dont have the luxury of switching up their meals from time to time in a week. You eat what you can afford. For some people, if they get sick of McDonalds, they can always make that trip to the corner store or Family Dollar to purchase those salty hypertension chips, or diabates snicker bar, along with a fruit juice loaded with sugar.
