Your Christmas dinner plate. What's on it?

#1

Mine has:

Smoked Prime Rib

Brussel sprouts

Macaroni and cheese

Mashed potatoes and gravy

Grilled pineapple

And bourbon

Although the bourbon technically was in a glass next to the plate, but whatever.

We don't usually go all out for Christmas dinner. Christmas Eve is our big day usually. My dinner was turkey burgers and biscuits. With Highland Brewing Thunderstruck
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

We went with a couple of .6 lb  grass-fed filet mignons - some scalloped potatoes-au-gratin w/ gruyere and caramelized onions  -   plus some white wine, butter and garlic sautéed spinach.  Paired it with a big Rioja.  It was pretty, pretty good.

Ham, mac and cheese, broccoli casserole and this dish my DIL makes with whole mushrooms, crumbled spicy breakfast sausage and cheese. Mushroom casserole? (shrug) It's gooood. Overall a very rich meal. That's what happens when last minute planning, laziness, and no coordination writes the menu.

Wow, I thought my dinner was good, but reading some of these, I'm envious.

We had home made crab cakes, spinach casserole, broccoli with carrots, and these little baked puffy things with some sort of vegetable stuffing.

Reserva - not Crianza.  Big difference.

Needs to breath for a good hour (or aerate.)

We do it very simple so it's not a chore.

Chili in a crockpot. Set toppings on the counter. Jalapenos, shredded cheddar, sour cream, Fritos, saltines, bacon bits, chopped cooked shrimp, mustard, chopped green and yellow onions.

Lots of cold full flavor beer.
