Bortles is fine, the Cursed One has been exorcised.

Quote:Blake needs a coach who's going to be hard on him.

Not an arm-round-the-shoulder type of guy.

He'll be the player we want/expected next season, I'm sure.
Blake even admitted he is used to a hard nosed coach getting in his face...

I don't remember where or when...But I remember he said it

Don't count on Bortles miraculously changing his spots so fast. One decent game hardly makes a season. Regardless if he has a good game against Indy or not............he is in ALLOT of trouble as a QB in terms of garnering respect from his peers. His "mental game" is stuck in rookie mode and UNLESS he substantially improves and comes back next season at training camp a "completely different person" just from a confidence and mentally prepared to play perspective, don't expect much from him. If he starts the opener, he MUST get out of the gate quickly and rattle off 4 or 5 victories in the first 7 games or so. If not, and he has mediocre performance (whoever the HC is) ought to yank him and sit him on the bench. The jaguars cannot afford any more experiments on Blake Bortles. He's either going to have the right stuff by next year or he doesn't. Personally, i have serious doubts he will rise above much more than being an average QB. based on this past years performance, even getting to average would be a remarkable improvement.
