Richard Sherman not speaking to media
|
I can't post links so I apologize, but it looks like Richard Sherman isn't speaking to the media.
"It's a privilege to have me up there," Sherman said. "You're going to miss me when I'm gone." PFT later put up a poll as to whether people would actually miss him. At the time that I voted it was currently at 79% that people would not miss him, and this was after Florio had made a post about how he liked him because he spoke his mind and wasn't a cookie cutter trying to sway votes. I don't think Sherman will be able to stay away for long. I think he likes being quoted, etc.
Journalists love the guy - he's a good quote. As long as you don't take him too seriously he's good for the game. The NFL is entertainment after all.
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.
Oh no, there will be something he has to talk about. He uses the media just as much as the media uses him.
Richard Sherman will very likely be hired in the NFL broadcasting field when his playing career is over.
He most definitely will D6. I do wonder how people respond to those kind of guys that typically got negative reactions from opposing fans throughout their playing years.
One of the people I'm surprised is still working is Rodney Harrison. I couldn't stand him as a player, he was a dirty cheap shot artist and I don't think he's a very good analyst....when he's on NBC I typically turn it off. That's the thing about Sherman compared to a lot of other players. He's genuinely SMART and can do a lot of other things when he leaves the game. I think a lot of guys hand around a's analysts because they really have nothing else going for them. I think if Sherman leaves, he's gone for good. And as good a quote he is, I think the league WILL miss him when he's gone.

Quote:I for one won't miss him at all. Arrogant terd IMO.he told Skip Bayless we was better at life than him lol
NCJag, what will the league miss when he's gone though? Richard Sherman provides nothing above and beyond the week in week out of what the NFL typically brings to the table. He speaks his mind and is smart, that's about it...and honestly, sometimes I question how smart he is.

Graduate from Stanford (4.0), one of the best DB's of this generation, extremely fun to watch, all in all a true and exciting competitor. I think it's wrong to put Sherman in a category of your typical average NFL players. Quote:he told Skip Bayless we was better at life than him lol Well... He was younger and immature when he said that. He does have the better accolades in my opinion.

This. While he is a hot head, he is an extremely knowledgeable person with a good vocabulary and can probably break down a defense better than most commentators now with less "uh, you know" than you normally see now.
