But we now have a new GM going into his second draft.  He did pretty good last year.  What Gene Smith did in the past is becoming increasingly irrelevant.  Yet with all the change in this organization's FO and locker room attitude, all these hand wringers seem to think this teams future success rides solely on the narrow shoulders of a single untested college QB.  Get a grip people.

 

Untested? People act like Louisville is in the MAC or CUSA. Formerly in the Big East, the Cardinals are still in a conference with an automatic BCS berth Next year, Louisville will be in the ACC. How do people get this silly idea that Louisville is not in the same class as Big Ten, Pacific 12, Big 12, and SEC teams?

Do you think QB starved teams these days especially in this QB driven league will allow those caliber players to slip through the cracks? I mean every decade you might get a Tom Brady and Russell Wilson but it doesn't happen often. Kaepernick is another QB that fell in the second round at 36 but mostly because many thought he was raw.

We are not going to be a dynasty in the near future, but that game was definitely a turning point for us.

Moore also had very very few NFL level skills. And Bridgewater plays in a BCS conference. Not at all the same.
