Ramsey confirming what we suspected/knew

You could certainly make the argument they played in that manner against Tennessee on the Thursday night game, but on the whole your point still stands.

On the whole, this team did not quit.

Ok. Coaching changes needed. However, players play for each other and personal pride. I saw effort most of the time, but also epic collapses. It was so bad that some of the losses after leading looked like a fix was in.

Last week Marrone was on a pedestal. This week the goat.

It starts with the QB. So far..BB is a coach killer. He doesn't give me the impression he's a brainiac, so learning a new system next year may be another uphill struggle. They need to shore up the OLine, and get a run game going. Putting the game on BBs shoulders won't do it regardless who coaches.

People said the same thing about a lot of other QBs in similar situations. Alex Smith comes to mind.

No he has a very valid argument  This is not baseball.  He is not just waiting for a ball to come his way.  Ya can't expect him to make plays all the time,  if he is always way back and not in place to make those plays.  Barry would be just as effective,  If he was not close to the action.

Earl Thomas is playing just fine in the same system tho. He just doesn't have the range they thought he did

To be fair, no one has Earls range.

Gipson also doesn't have All-Pros on his side either. Ramsey in the future but Thomas had Wagner, Bennett, Chancelor, Sherman....

Were they all being put in the wrong position yesterday as they lost another game in the 4th quarter?

Roy Miller chimes in and seems to have agreed in part with Malik Jackson...

Great article by Mike Kaye with lots of players comments about future and the way they had to play defense:

House was very specific, Fowler explained how he thinks he should be used.

I appreciated Miller's words more so than Ramsey's.  Nothing good comes from criticizing someone publicly who no longer works with you.  He'd have been better served biting his tongue.

Also, people generally have more respect for someone that takes ownership of an issue, even if they aren't to blame, than someone who shifts blame to others.  It's just not professional.

Yes, prevent doesn't work.

Quote:Caldwell has got to go. His lack of awarness of how poorly his talent was being used is unforgivable. Hopefully he is part of black Monday.
Caldwell's job is to get the talent, the coach is responsible for how that talent is used...I suspect Caldwell knew for a pretty good while that Gus was [BLEEP] up, but  didn't have approval to fire him...He said something about he didn't really get "his" guy for coach (paraphrasing) due to pressure from above, so I would guess his hands were tied

Ok reading that Mike Kaye article helped clear things up for me.

It makes sense with all the busted coverages we've had over the years. If one person messes up in Gus' scheme it completely ruins everything else. The players could never play freely, which obviously been an issue.

Yeah Fowler should be standing up, he's absolutely right

Davon House felt like "coaches had something personal against him". Can they just cut this guy already?

Oooh yeah must be a personal vendetta. Not the fact that Ramsey, Prince and Colvin are all better players in their respective roles than he is.
