Jaguars 2017 opponents

At least they get to play the Browns again. It almost doesn't feel like a Jags football season without an annual Jax/Cleveland matchup.

This year we benefited tremendously by hosting the Packers, Broncos, Raiders, and Vikes who all travel well.

Guess we're just gonna have to get good so we can generate our own excitement.  What a concept !!

Maybe with an improved team and adequite coaching, our home games won't look like away games when the cameras pan on the stands....

LOL, I am so sick and tired of playing the Chargers. It seems like we play them every year.

How many years has it been it a row now that we have played the Chargers?

lol, if the schedule was the other way around he would whine about it. No matter what he would complain. You would think he would be happy a game is being played in NY

Quote:You don't remember last season when "old man Rivers" was running for 1st downs on 4th and long,, or INTs deep in Jags territory,, or SD jumping out to a pretty big early lead,, etc..?

Chargers have handled the Jags in Jax pretty easily the past couple times. Plus manhandling then out west too.

Chargers OWN the Jags lately.

Ol Gus Bradley special

Here are our opponents next year:

vs. Seattle

vs. LA Rams

@ Niners

@Cardinals

vs. Bengals

vs. Ravens (London)

@ Steelers

@ Browns

vs. Jets

vs. LA Chargers

Texans x2

Titans x2

Colts x2

This will be the fifth year in a row we've played the Chargers and our daddy Philip Rivers. Anyway this shouldn't be a hard schedule.

We better not get destroyed by the Chargers again

after looking the schedule over again, it might be one of the easiest in the league. Most of those teams are terrible. Of course, teams turn around quick in this league unless you're us or the Browns but even then, we should go at least 8-8 with even just competent QB play. Our toughest opponents are even at home. Unfortunately, if Blake plays like he has, even this will be a "tough" schedule.

  • Seahawks - L

  • Rams - W

  • @ 49ers - L (West Coast)

  • @ Cards - L

  • Bengals - W

  • Ravens (London) - W

  • @ Steelers - L

  • @ Browns - W

  • Jets - W

  • Chargers - L (daddy does own us)

  • Texans - split

  • Colts - sweep

  • Titans - sweep

It's time we to truly own the division, although that shouldn't be the goal. The goal should be winning the SB.

I see a shot at 10-6 here, which might either win a tiebreaker for the division or else the final WC spot. Gotta go 5-1 in division tho.

I remember when Brunell felt it was a bye week whenever we played the Bengals because he always beat them so easily. We're that to Rivers.

This schedule got easier the day Gus got fired.

How much easier? Well, that will depend on who the Jags get as HC, but it definitely looks like a better schedule without Gus at the helm, no doubt about it.

2016 season just ended at 3-13 two days ago, and we're already counting next year's wins!   I love it!

Based on the way the Jaguars 2017 opponents performed in 2016,  this is a favorable schedule for the Jaguars.

Being that the relatively strength of an opponent only matters in terms of how healthy the two teams are at the time they face each other,  it's impossible to truly gauge the chances of the Jaguars winning a given game months in advance.   That much more before the league calendar begins.

Regarding the AFC East,  I can't remember the last time the Jaguars didn't face the Bills or the Jets in a season.
