Imo, if we hire Marrone it could he because Khan doesnt want to give Caldwell more than one year if we have 5 wins or less. If we hire Shanny or McDaniels he likely gets 2.

Dave was clear to try to cover his rear by revising the backstory to the Gus hire as being one of a "committee."

 

This time, he was clear to say Khan put Dave and Dave alone in charge of the next hire.  Khan also hired consultants to help.
