The most disappointing player ?

#41

Quote:Walters. Against my better judgement, I went with my gut and drafted him #1 in my FFL instead of Antonio Brown. I was counting on a breakout year. Round 2 was just as bad with J. Thomas but luckily I was able to land Ivory in Round 3.

Those dropped punts killed us..

Julius Thomas. Good midmatch in the red zone but is useless everywhere else.

Wouldn't care if he was cut.

He's had streaks tho when he's been one of the most dominant players. It seems like he can be forgotten in the offense at times, although I feel like a proper scheme would utilize him more.

He hasn't had any dominant streaks for us anyway. He's a red zone specialist. The aim was not him to be a big mismatch in the passing game like a Jordan Reed/Kelce type but he just doesn't have that in his game.

Well, not so much this year, but he did start the season with two straight rather dominant weeks that us thinking he might be a big part of the offense. He sort of withered away after that though and eventually ended up on IR. Still, I like Thomas as a TE and feel his struggles are largely scheme. They're simply not targeting him as much as they should be.

I think it's a good bet that he will be cut.

I don't think soo.. Olsen wasn't using him right...You see Hackett utilized the tight ends more in his offense.. You can't just cut a guy with a lot of talent.. But keep bums like Drob and Henne and Skuta, and Oderick on the team.. I bet if we get the right coordinator and coach in,they will use him effectively..

Quote:I know we had many, but i wanted to see who you guys thought had the most disappointing season?? Personally I will say Arob.. I thought he,was gonna push for a probowl, I guess I was wrong... But I'm sure Fowler,Bortles,Gipson, names can be thrown in the mix too..

It's Bortles obviously. He regressed on just about every key aspect of the position this year.

Outside of him. I'd say the 2nd most let down on the team this season was Jeremy Parnell. I lost count on how many times he personally screwed this offense on good looking drives. Between the whiffs, the holding calls, the false starts, etc. He stunk it the [BLEEP] up in 2016. I would be just fine with Caldwell maybe getting lucky and trading down if Allen and Garret are off the board to nab Ryan Ramcyzk out of Wisconsin to replace him.

If they are fortunate enough to trade down and it is somewhere between pick number 10-20, Ramcyzk would be a good choice. They could then take the best guard with the extra 2nd they acquire (Feeney, Elfein, etc) and their offensive line should be fixed. Other than finding respectable competition for Bortles, the offensive line has to be the top priority.

He used the TEs and they looked good. So you don't need to pay Thomas as the most expensive TE in the league.

You can use the guys we got or draft one.

Blake, obviously, but...

Thomas and Hurns were big letdowns for me though some of that is injury and QB inaccuracy.

The run-blocking overall by a number of O-linemen was also a major disappointment.

So I assume this is just some sort of test to see who doesn't say 'Bortles' so you can completely discount anything they ever say in the future?

Bortles regressed, but TJ Yeldon hasn't even shown he belongs in this league yet. RBs with lines as bad or worse than ours outperformed him.
Only a chump boos the home team!

Easy.... Bortles. Terribly inaccurate.

Exactly. No chance we're cutting Julius.
