Why wouldn't he be? He's a solid coach, just not HC material.

Not saying he didn't deserve to but since he left the Vikings I couldn't recall him being anywhere so hearing he 20's with the ravens was surprising

Mcvay starting off with a strong defensive hire.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Reminds me of Tomlin and him having the experience of Lebeau as DC

That increases Gus Bradley's chances of becoming Redskins DC.

 Agreed.

It's a rare situation when a Coordinator is more than twice the age of the HC.

One of the best decisions Mike Tomlin made as HC was not only keeping D.LeBeau as DC but keeping LeBeau's 3-4 zone blitz system.  This despite Tomlin's main background being in the 4-3  Tampa Two.

Let's hope Gus lands in DC. Pettine is likely the guy there if Gus goes to LA and we don't jump in.

I expect us to keep our coordinators, but if we want to search Pettine makes a good amount of sense.

Absolutely.   Gus' next coaching stop probably will come down to the Chargers vs. the Redskins.

The combination for the Jaguars of Mike Pettine as DC and Todd Wash as D-Line coach would be intriguing.

Yeah, it's pretty clear that he is going to be a defensive coordinator somewhere next season.

Any names linked for the defensive staff besides the one TC blocked? I haven't heard anything else besides Pettine being thrown around here.

Pettine would have good familiarity with Gip
